A bit of Easter Monday mail

Print Friendly

Another cracking days racing wasn’t it. If I get a chance to do a wrap up I will, but thought I’d hand pick a few races to go over on the card for Monday.

For ‘The Punt’ followers Saturday it was a pretty good day, but could have been a massive day with a result or two going our way. We got Atlanta Falcon and Mukaddamah Son running places around $3.60 as well as Diago and Theft $7 winning and the $130 trifecta in race 7. ‘The Prophet’ got Bianca Jewel $5 and for those who read the Slipper preview hopefully you got the $450 trifecta. The big miss was the Brisbane Quaddie where Rocksan was nosed out at massive odds and that half head cost us a big Quad collect. That’s racing and we move on for Easter Monday racing!

**Here are some BLACKBOOKERS running also:

BINGO ROSE EAGLE FARM R3 No.13 (1600m)
ALLTHERIGHTMOVES EAGLE FARM R4 No.1 (1000m)
CAPE KIDNAPPERS EAGLE FARM R4 No.6 (1000m)
MORE BUBBLY EAGLE FARM R6 No.14 (1200m)
SHUFFLE THE CASH EAGLE FARM R7 No.2 (1400m)

**I think the best way to get something up for you guys being Easter would be to pick the races where I like the chances of one or two and just let you know why. That way you can read and decide what you do with it.

RACE 1: Actually really like this race which is a surprise being a juvenile race. HOLEY GADOLEY has been flying, will start fav and be very hard to catch up on pace. I do have MIDNIGHT FURY on top and its $3.50 in early TATTSBET markets. A really strong finish last start to get the cash and will be flying late again. RING ME RUBY can improve here also.

On Top: 3-MIDNIGHT FURY

Next Best: 1-HOLEY GADOLEY, 7-RING ME RUBY

RACE 3: This is a race chock full of chances but BINGO ROSE has had no luck from barriers and I’m more than willing to be on her e/w again here at the $6 on offer. Hellyer gets a far better trip in transit and she will get every chance to atone here. INTERVIEW, NEVZLIN, GOROZZO and HEAD NORTH all have hopes, but I will stick with the grey mare.

On Top: 13-BINGO ROSE e/w

RACE 4: Looks to be a match race here. CAPE KIDNAPPERS and ALLTHERIGHTMOVES are both very good horses on the rise who will reach high levels over their campaigns. Not overly keen to take the $2 about CAPE KIDNAPPERS but I do think he will win. He gets a weight advantage and will improve lengths from the 1st up run. $5.50 about ALLTHERIGHTMOVES seems well over the mark and she is in this up to her ears. Personally I can’t understand how she is that price while COMMONDARE is $4? I may be proved wrong, but can’t see it beating the other two.

On Top: 6-CAPE KIDNAPPERS

Hardest To Beat: 1-ALLTHERIGHTMOVES

RACE 6: No market up as I type, but if it comes up a decent price I’m pretty keen to get involved with MORE BUBBLY. She comes out of a race that I think will be a great form race behind Hidden Jewel and Morning Captain. She had no luck in that and had plenty to offer. This race is lengths easier and she looks pretty good! The outside gate will prove her biggest obstacle, but with any cover she will sprout wings late..

On Top: 14- MORE BUBBLY (NOW SCRATCHED)

RACE 8: Again no markets up and this is an open race. If ALTAI WARRIOR comes up $5 or more I would be taking the each way odds. He gets a lot of things in his favour here with a dry track, decent barrier at E-F which suits him down to the ground. The horse also seemed to go particularly well for Wiggins. As I mentioned it is an open race so I wouldn’t be falling into short odds if that’s the scenario.

On Top: 7-ALTAI WARRIOR e/w

**Brisbane Quaddie selections.

1,3,4,11 —- 2,6,8,9, —- 2,3,8,9,12 —- 5,6,7,9,14,17

(Check back in Monday morning as scratching should appear with a few dual acceptors for the weekend and may change the numbers significantly)

**Thanks again guys and I hope all have had a great Easter!
