Just wanted to mention a couple of rides from the weekend. Jocks are always getting attacked for poor rides and rides with no luck so I like to point out the good rides when possible.
M.Hellyer- BLUE COMET. Initiative here to go around a slow tempo down the back straight. That was the difference between winning and losing!
A.Allen- READABEEL. For those who follow my GC previews you’d know I said this is exactly how BRANDO should be ridden and he’d win. Instead he was ridden in behind and buried while Allen took off around the 800m when some pace went out of the race. Clear air and bolted in off the jock again taking the initiative.
