A quick wrap up

A great days racing around the country.

In Brisbane the day started bad for favourite backers with RACING HEART getting rolled at a silly odds on quote, but things got better with THE SIXTIES leading all the way as expected.

FANTISHA was the flop of the day. She simply looked flat and it has been a short prep that hasn’t worked out.

DIVINE CITY was slow out and Anthony Allen was too far back on straightening and her effort was exceptional under the circumstances. She should have won, but GOLDSTICK did everything right and she seems to go as fast on the wet as she does on a good track.

BLACK MAGIC raced closer than usual and didn’t give a yelp. REVITALISE was the well backed fav and saluted for punters. He has a few more nice races in him.

The Tatterstall’s mile was the feature for the day and HOUR OF PERIL got the cash. I mentioned a couple of months ago that if you wanted to win money, simply follow Jeff Lloyd as he has lengths on most of the QLD jockeys. It was a mistake to leave the winner out of quaddie calculations and the ride was a gem! While all the jockey’s scouted wide, Lloyd decided to save many lengths on the fence and it was a winning move.

MISS BARWANG found the right race and with Browne on board she was dominant in the last on the card.

**Ric McMahon was fined a few times last week, and again copped another $200 fine for changing his boots after weighing out.

Interstate there were some nice performances. GOLDEN ARCHER was very impressive returning from a break and he may well be in for his best prep yet.
