A quick Wrap Up

WOW! What do we say? She is a superstar! All hail the queen.. She ran a track record, and run a sectional of 9.98.. That is unbelievable! One of a kind. Hay List is a freak and would smack any other sprinter in the world, but not ‘The Champ’.

Her little half-brother won earlier in the day at Flemington and has a massive future. All Too Hard sat just off the pace and looked very sharp. He will target the Sires etc later in the carnival.

On a day where Mosheen got rolled, Helmet got rolled and Streama got rolled you were cheering for a winner, and ‘The Champ’ provided it. Let me say one thing. If you were one of the people who said “she’s beat nothing” or  “she hasn’t run great time.” Lift your head up and give yourself one of the best uppercuts you can! She has embarrassed you! Anyway, let’s move on.

Let’s start where we seen a couple of real good one’s step out at home. Rob Heathcote deserves a wrap for freshening up Tomboy and getting her winning. For those who read ‘the punt’ you may have realised the $6.50 e/w Mystical Grey was good money and taken a quinella, but both horses are worth following for a month or so. People seem to have forgotten exactly how good Mystical Grey is, and even though he is 7 years old now, he still has a few wins left in him.

Log in midweek for the blackbookers as there are a lot to follow (4 winners this weekend), but in the last Glen Colless again took some ordinary options on The Reveller and will be lucky to retain the ride after a similar controversial ride the last couple of times out. He probably would not have won, but gee wiz we will get a better price next time out because of it. If he keeps the run he gifted to the winner than he would have gone very close, but that’s up to jock and trainer to discuss! The winner Around The World looks very sharp and will win plenty more races.

They were the best races in Brisbane, but interstate there were some great races. On face value Helmet looked pretty ordinary especially as team Darley said they had him wound up. That’s The One and Decircles were both outstanding and the Australian Guineas is looking like a great race.

In Sydney Manawanui and Beaded were beaten, but both were courageous and are in for massive preps. Manawanui is a superstar and I think we will see the best of him around the 1600m this time in work.

**We have two blackbookers in at the Sunshine Coast today

Race 5 no 5 MR MOTO

Race 7 no 11 LADY AGULHAS  (tough to beat Product, but will run well)

*The quadrella looks very inviting to go short and have a crack at

5 — 1,2,8 — 11,12 — 4

Good luck if you have a go. Be sure to check in through the week for the important Blackbookers, all the latest interviews, news and possibly a midweek tip or two.

*I will try to catch up with a local trainer and hope to get the latest from Malua Racing also.
