Amarachi to stand up for Topline

TAB Number 1 for Amarachi

Amarachi will have her second start back this campaign at Warwick Farm when she takes on a strong field in the TAB Number 1 Club Handicap for three-year-old fillies over 1200m tomorrow. Amarachi heads into tomorrow’s race on the back of a very pleasing effort first time out this campaign at Canterbury back on the 13th of March where she showed her trademark turn of foot in flashing home to claim third place, beaten on the day more so because of the shorter distance of 1100m rather than the opposition.

Although tomorrow’s field is not the biggest in terms of numbers it certainly has a lot of depth in form with the likes of Blazing Snitzel a last start winner for the Waterhouse stable at Gosford. This looks to be the main danger in the race and certainly has its chances bolstered by the fact that is has drawn inside in barrier two. Mark De Montfort’s Vision comes into the race on the back of solid form at both Kembla Grange and Canterbury and the Guy Walter trained I’ve Got the Looks notched up a win last start over 1200m at Goulburn and must be respected as it gets in on the minimum weight.

This will be a very good test for Amarachi who’s next assignment, all going well, will be the Listed J H B Carr stakes for three-year-old fillies over 1400m at Randwick on the 27th April. Amarachi has proven to her connections that she is a stakes class filly and a strong performance tomorrow will confirm that she is on track to take it to the next level.
