A few to follow from the week. Been a couple of tough days on the punt and the only real upside was the FIVE mentioned from Brissy trials have all won since.
KHANJAR– Beaten fair and square. Just looks one that can improve sharply off the raceday experience and does have some ability.
SMARTYPY- To be honest I’m not sure here. She’d been going plain with every possible chance and improved about 5L here? If she can hold this form she can win again. (Best L200m of the meeting)
METAMORPHIC- Continues to run well and I’ll back it once they stop running at Doomben. Only following at a different track.
LUCKY PROSPECTOR- No luck two back and good through the line here. Might be able to find the right race soon.
PULL ANCHOR- Long way back, very good late. Bigger track and will suit and wins soon.
STANDING BEAR– Nothing wrong with the ride from the apprentice, I just much rather senior riders on these green young horses. Should improve off this run.
BADOOSH- Got to an ordinary spot and had to run the best splits from 1000-400m to give himself a chance. Run was very good.
SHE’S SPICY– Wide on a fast speed, had every right to spot but was still best late.
