Blackbook from last week

ALLIGATOR BLOOD– Just a dominant display and might have earned a trip south after this. Ran 11.68 L200m and no other horse in the race broke 12.

GALTERO– The $8 looked generous when markets opened and that’s how it panned out. Into $2.90, was on a hot tempo and still ran away from them. Has plenty of upside and just coming right this prep.

BABY BOOMER– Big win at the midweeks. Not a great race but love the way he went about it.

BATTLE STRIKE- Given a peach but love the way he went through the line and will be winning more races.

ALL TO DO– Bumped into a handy one. Was also 3/4 in front and just working a bit with a horse on his inside. Can win a maiden pretty soon.

RIDE OF THE WEEK:

R. Maloney- BATTLE STRIKE.

One of the best rides you’ll see. Awkward gate, looked to be trapped wide before easing and finding the perfect spot. The rest is history.

THE HARD WATCH:

R.Palmer- COCO FASHION

I try not to talk through the pocket but I thought only a bad ride could beat COCO FASHION and that’s exactly what happened. Jumped fine, got back to last, tried to go between horses before getting chopped out and flew late. Should have won.
