The run continued to a certain degree this week, so here are some more horses to Blackbook for the future.

SKYTASTIC – Made its debut with a very, very good win at the Gold Coast. It does look well above avg but not sure where they go next.

YOU DID WHAT- Ran well behind some nice horses and if it gets up to 1200m next start it will take some beating. May pop up in a mid-week meeting now the carnival is starting.

THE CONSPIRATOR-  Again, not sure if it is up to the carnival grade but if it is in mid-week it would pay to follow.

FIRE UP FIFI – Terrific 1st-up. She always improves into her prep and holds her form well. Worth following all prep.

CARMORA- Ran last week and liked the on-pace effort again. Improving type.

HEART TESTA- If they head north with this guy there are races to be won! Loved the run on Saturday and he would have lengths on most up here.

*In some other quick news you may have missed:newspaper

*It was crushing to see the very promising MS FUNOVITS collapse and die in Perth just a couple of minutes before the start of the Group 3 race on Saturday. She had promised a hell of a lot and the team were even thinking of spelling her after her last run but decided for one more. Racing can be a cruel game!

*I had a quick chat with Michael Lakey the other day regarding RISK AVERSION. The two Sydney runs did take a bit out of the mare but she has come back well since. Lakey felt nothing panned out last run and best to forgive that effort. He is looking at a couple of races over our carnival but nothing is set in stone yet.

*The Sydney Cup is one of the highlights this weekend and no doubt Saturday’s impressive winner KELLINI is the horse they all have to beat. He was terrific with 60kg and if he runs up to his 4th placing in the Melbourne Cup he will do a number on this lot.

*Interesting to see the Racing and Sports website had an article on the former Racing QLD board who may be getting investigated. http://www.racingandsports.com.au/racing/rsNewsArt.asp?NID=275237&story=Attorney-General_Calls_For_Racing_Queensland_Inquiry

Just another reason we are behind the eight ball here!
