OCEANIC FLASH– This was a really weak race but I’m convinced this horse needed the run. Got back, come wide in the straight and worked through the line well. 2nd best L600-400-200m of the race and he’s ready to win the right 2000m race next start.
SHARP ‘N’ SMART– Just a really good run and getting to a mile will be perfect next week. Just has to handle the back up and is the one they have to beat.
NUDGE– Ridden upside down and still didn’t mind the effort. That will top her off and she’s right on track for a good run in a Tatts Tiara.
SHOOTING FOR GOLD– I wasn’t convinced at 1200m in this grade but he was outstanding. Just got a long way back and the task was too big. Reeled off the best L200m of the meeting and is flying. I still rather him 1000-1100m but maybe a race like the Ramornie might be on the cards now.
