COMPASS ROSE– Gee she is a nice staying filly in the making. I’ve always thought she’d be better next prep but she just keeps getting better with each run. Pressure went on early here, she didn’t just absorb it, she put a few lengths on them and held them all off easily.
GAMBU– This might seem a weird one to blackbook as it was beaten a fair way and weak late. I’m sure it needed the run and there was plenty against. Was wide and circling as well as taking off early. Could improve sharply off this effort.
RED WAVE– Run last but just put a line through it. Long way back, race set up didn’t suit. Looking for longer (1800-2000m) and a dry track now.
ROUSSEAU– This will win multiple races here this prep. Trial was good, this was great. Can improve from it and keen to see where the next 3-4 runs are.
