Blackbookers from 10/12

Again our Blackbookers produced a couple of winners and a couple of placegetters last Saturday, so let’s add some more to the stable that can hopefully add to our nice tally of winners.

Here are some from last weekend and one from midweek:

ALTAI WARRIOR- Has returned an even better horse after a gelding operation. Won well twice and then was solid on a very unsuitable surface last start. We should see him soon and he should be winning.

GRIFFON- Sweated up a touch and raced a bit fresh. Thought his effort was awesome and he can turn the tables.

DIVINE CITY- Good quality Rockhampton mare who was inconvenienced in the straight. Look for her in the coming weeks.

LUCKY MORNA- Was first up, wide all the way and would rather a firm surface. That said, she still ran well and looks set for a good prep.

STARTSMEUP- Wide all the way and stuck to his task making up ground in a race that suited front runners.

STEEL ZIP- Made more ground than any horse in the George Moore and is underrated in my eyes. With a good draw he can run a race in this company next start.

TOMBOY- Had the race run to suit and put her rivals away in 50m. She will improve a lot from the run and should go back to back.

WINNING GLORY- He can take a couple of runs to get fit, but he is ready to win now. A real frontrunner who is hard to catch when right.

ROCKER- Just seemed to peak 50m out, but was beaten by a good horse and can be forgiven. A great trial and a float trip to race in Sydney may have flattened him a bit. He will be tremendously hard to beat when we see him next.

For those looking for a midweek tip I like a couple from the Matt Dunn stable:
