Blackbookers from Saturday

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This week’s Blackbook section is a little smaller than usual due to the extremely heavy track last Saturday. It is coming to the end of the carnival so a lot of horses are heading to the paddock also.

ST GERMAINE- She is ticking over well and just needs a better surface to be winning shortly.

LIGHTS OF HEAVEN- She travelled like the winner the whole way and was very strong late which is a great pointer for the Brisbane Cup.

DIVORCES- She always seems to be hitting the line without winning, however I think a few things have gone against her lately and a change of luck could be all she needs.

WEALTH PRINCESS- She loomed up as though she was going to run straight past the winner but just didn’t let down in the heavy surface. A big drop in weight means she is a straddy chance.

STEEL ZIP- Surface didn’t suit and I think he’s going well enough to win soon. He should start a decent price also.

BELLTONE- Another that loomed up to win but struggled to get past the leader/winner. He’s going particularly well.

QUINTESSENTIAL- Don’t sell this girl short in the Derby. It will be harder to pick the boys off, but she is up to it.

**I have skipped the midweek quaddie today as time was limited and not overly keen on the days racing.

**Stay tuned for the early weekend mail and racing news over the next couple of days. You can also catch the early selections when I catch up with Steve Hewlett on RadioTab Thursday morning.

**I am heading to the racing luncheon at ICEWORKS   (Paddington) on Thursday. Really looking forward to catching up with a heap of people and I will post some pictures up from the day.
