Boom Racing get another couple at Inglis sales

Boom Racing Thoroughbred’s Syndications took another step towards their goal of becoming a major player in the industry at last weekend’s Sydney Inglis Classic Sale.

Following on from their purchase of a racy, Star Witness filly at last month’s Magic Millions, the crew at BRT added a Hinchinbrook Filly and Smart Missile colt to their list of horses which will be available for public syndication once they meet ASIC purchase requirements.

BRT’s desire to purchase progeny of leading upcoming sires including Star Witness, whose next promising starter appears to be this weekend’s Caulfield stakes winner Fuhryk, expands with the acquiring of Hinchinbrook and Smart Missile offspring. This sounds out a solid introduction for the Queensland-based BRT entity.

The Boom Racing Thoroughbreds team, who enjoyed great success with the Boom Brothers (Temple and Spirit) and Angelic Light over the last decade, have teamed with trainer Tony Gollan who will train the lion’s share of their horses. This association dates back to 1999 when Gollan trialled for South Sydney, the club at which Boom Racing Thoroughbreds owners Jeremy Schloss and Andrew Dunemann were plying their trade with at the time.

While Gollan has taken all before him in the last five years, the Boom Racing boys have been methodically plotting their own venture into the Syndication industry, intent on strategically adding to their breeding interests. They remain a share holder in Spirit of Boom and look forward to maturing alongside as his progeny hits the tracks of Australia.

BRT has also forged a close relationship with the McAlpine Family of Eureka Stud, where the majority of their stock will reside. It was Harry McAlpine in fact who played a major hand in their purchases last weekend, after he ran his astute eye over their short list. With solid foundations laid, Boom Racing Thoroughbreds will maintain this consistent professionalism to ensure optimum outcomes for future clients.

The business’ major point of difference will come from BRT’s own personal grounding in professional sport, with both Jeremy and Andrew sharing distinguished top-level rugby league careers. BRT’s focus will remain on the race day experience itself, rather than the performance of the horse, knowing if you judge the day on your horse winning as the benchmark, then you will have more bad days than good. They already have excellent processes in place for information sharing for clients and will continue to maintain an inclusive environment for all through the utilisation of visual mediums to keep clients up-to-date on the progress of their thoroughbred interests.
