pineapple**Couple of good updates from the Pineapple hotel coming, Im just having a little issue with a poster from them. There is a massive SPORTS DRESS-UP party New Years eve with $500 up for grabs for best dressed!!

Also a huge Australia Day planned with PINEAPPLE throwing and hottest 100 getting played on the Verandah’s!!blackbook SO get a team and get there!

Lets roll the eyes over BOXING DAY at the Sunshine coast:

BLACKBOOK RUNNER:

THURSDAY, 26 DECEMBER 2013

Zellaro – Sunshine Coast R2 No.1 (1400m):

Miagrace - Sunshine Coast R2 No.10 (1400m):

Devil Heart – Sunshine Coast R4 No.19 (1000m):

Race 1:

Not the type of race I like to get too involved in.

If I was betting I would just work around

2-GET ON  and  5- THAT SNOW ATHLETE

Race 2:

Two horse race in my eyes and happy to see what odds are put up.

ZELLARO and MIAGRACE are both blackbookers and shouldn’t be in this grade for long, but only one can win!

ZELLARO looked a bit green last run and you’d expect to see a better horse this time. As I write a jockey isn’t declared and not sure if they will claim with the big weight.

On Top: 1- ZELLARO    +  10- MIAGRACE

Race 3:

ELLAWISDOM is a very nice type resuming over the unsuitable 1000m and has bumped into IONA FAST ONE who also looks very good and on the way up!

Brad Herne has placed IONA FAST ONE beautifully, he can roll forward and I’d be surprised if he was beaten.

On Top:  6- IONA FAST ONE

Race 4:

Again a race I would usually avoid! I have blackbooked DEVIL HEART from the trial, mainly as I have followed its progress and think it has untapped potential. Happy to back it even from the bad gate if it gets a run, but won’t be going silly.

Chris Nelson was keen on Toby Edmonds horse MINING TYCOON, so keep safe.

On Top:  19- DEVIL HEART

Race 5:

Pretty ordinary race?? We have a bloke in this SCREAMING JET. If he shows us what we hope we have you’d expect him to go close (id be upset if he didn’t). The stablemate MARACULOO has to be a big chance. I know it does really well at home and the awkward gate is probably the biggest hurdle as she would be better than these.

PRICELESS HEART is the best chance to upset the Dunn pair. Really liked the way he ran when 4th here at his last run last prep. Got back to last on that occasion and made up a stack of ground. Heads into this with that prep under his belt and has to be very hard to hold out for a stable in form.

Work around:  PRICELESS HEART,  SCREAMING JET, MARACULOO

Race 6:

WISH UPON A STAR is most suited here and interesting to see if they claim? (They haven’t- McMahon on)  She was super last prep in much harder events than this. Nice target 1st up.

BEACH BABE is a horse that has to get back and I reckon SC is a great track for her, she will be spotting the leaders a start though.

COOLOOLA- Good luck trying to get her over the line, she is a maiden in a class 3 so not sure they will run here.

REVACIOUS, TURVANNA and MOON AND THE STARS next best. MOON AND THE STARS does have a lot of upside and could be  the big improver

On Top:  1- WISH UPON A STAR

Next Best: 7- MOON AND THE STARS

Race 7:

Even type of race. Think the play may be SHATARKER for the in-form Edmonds camp. 1st up lost sight of the bunny but finished about 1L off Ten Gague who ran 2nd at the coast again last Saturday. Just needs a pinch of luck from the gate.

KEMPELLY the main danger with a touch of class (well more than most of these anyway). Drops from a very good race and this assignment much, much easier!

LUCKY BAA is on the way up, good solid win last start and has 2 wins and 2 placings from his four runs.

3rd up and Browne on gives CALL ME RUSTY every chance to be competitive. Don’t think the 1400m last time was his go and this is better.

TAX EXEMPTION, FOREST WAY and FRAGEZEICHEN can be given thoughts for first 4’s etc.

On Top:   1- SHTARKER

Hardest To Beat:  5-  KEMPELLY

Race 8:

Really tempted to go shorter in other legs and take ‘field’ in quaddie…

Will have to go over this race a little more before the day as it is so even and hard to get a line on all the different formlines!

At first glance CRACOW is the one that interests me the most. Good form in Nth Qld and is a nice style of a horse. The mile is probably his best trip, but 2nd up 1400m and 21 days between runs should be suitable. Can sit 4th-5th and peel out on the corner.

There is a question over PLAY LUCKs will to win and put his head out, but from the good gate and off a decent run last time out has to be some chance.

ASTATUS is going better than it reads on paper. HARD TICKER comes off a 3rd to L’entrocoate and a repeat performance wins this.

As mentioned, many other chances and could make a case for all them in some way!

On Top:  3- CRACOW

Hardest To Beat:  4- HARD TICKER,  8- PLAY LUCK

 Tatts

SUNNY COAST QUADDIE:

5,6,12 —– 1,2,5,7 —– 1,5,6 —– 1,3,4,7,8,18

Good Luck!
