Brad Herne turning into The White Superman?

One of Queensland’s up and comers Brad Herne is having a super run with his little team he trains out of Brisbane. Herne has had Iona Fast One and The Black Superman win in the last week and has had 6 of his last 7 win or land in the money.

The Black Superman always had a bit of a wrap on him but looked as though he was going to be a write off before Herne got a crack at him, and what a job he has done turning a ‘non-winner’ into a multiple winner and a Saturday winner! Since Herne has taken over there has been 3 wins and a second from four starts and the blokes involved in the horse must be wondering how long it can last. Obviously the first question I put to Brad was what did he do to turn this horse around?B.Herne

“The main things are probably the way I train him, a change of environment as we train out of a property at Nudgee, I like training them like that and I think that is helping a few of them at the moment. The other thing was the addition of blinkers which helped.” Herne said.

I have to admit I didn’t realise Brad was training out there know but it is obviously doing the trick.

Iona Fast One was Bred by Brad’s wife Lauren. He won by an impressive 6 lengths last start and will step out this Friday at the twilight Doomben meeting. Brad has a big opinion of the horse and is excited to see where he ends up.

Another horse I was following that went amiss is Allknight Saint and it was great to hear he is back again and is about a month off a trial. Like The Black Superman I think there are Brissyraces followers involved in this horse so obviously we want him to come back and fire! “He was going to be my flagship horse through the winter carnival. He is another promising horse.” Herne said
