Big fields and a good days racing but very few I’m keen on. We will just run the eye over the one race that interests me.

Race 6: THE SPRINT

Three main chances in my mind. UNDER THE THUMB, STILL UNDAUNTED and ALOT LIKE HOME.

Of those three ALOT LIKE HOME $5 is the one I’d expect to be a bit positive and try to find a spot in the first couple of pairs and offset the gate. He has led and won before, I’d go forward, find the front and if something wants to cross and give you cover so be it, if the speed isn’t great just lead or sit outside lead. His fresh run at Grafton was fine for a first up effort behind King Lear who is flying.

STILL UNDAUNTED $5 had won three straight including a win over King Lear before running 2nd to that horse over the Grafton carnival. In a very strong stable and in obvious good form, chance.

There is always a risk with backing get back and run on horses but gee UNDER THE THUMB $9 looks well placed. Has real upside this horse and progressed well last prep but the get back pattern was costly in a couple of races. Placed behind the classy Victorem in one run and had six runs for the prep without missing a place. He will be midfield or worse but if the split comes on the corner I have no doubt he will be the strongest through the line.

*Handy field and feel the winner should come from those mentioned but as usual luck in running will be key.

On Top:  14- UNDER THE THUMB opened $9

Hardest To Beat: 8-ALOT LIKE HOME,  13-STILL UNDAUNTED
