Dais takes big team to Rocky

It’s Rockhampton’s time to shine!

As usual a few Brisbane based trainers decide to take on the Thursday and Saturday of racing up north and see if they can bring some prizemoney home. It’s not as easy as it sounds, but Bryan Dais and Toby Edmonds are taking great teams up and I will be doing an article with both.

We start with Bryan Dais who is taking a majority of his stable up, and he has placed them really well. Here is what Bryan thinks of his runners over the Rocky carnival.

GALLINARI: “Nice horse. She goes into the race without a trial or jump out, but she has gate two and I’d expect her to be in the finish.”

EMMZ AMELIA: “Another going in fresh without a trial and she can camp on pace from the good gate (2). Ran a great race on a good 2 track in a Saturday race in Brisbane and I expect a good showing with the lightweight.”

BEGGIN: “The weight is the only concern. She has trained on well and will be the best horse in the race.”

TRILLIUM: “Has had a very long time away from the track which is always tough. Had good Victorian form and if it can reproduce that he can go close.”

JAVELENTIA: “Has trained on really well from his 1st up 2nd at the Sunny Coast. His chances may rely on what the acceptors end up. There are some nice horses nominated, but I couldn’t be happier with him and his work has been great.”

WHITE CITY: “You never know what you are going to get with this bloke. He was good last start so hoping for more of the same.”

Dais has been of fire of late notching up winners all over the place with his small stable. Unfortunately Happy To Win which was terrific winning at the Gold Coast and beating subsequent winner Cathay Lady has headed to the paddock due to an injury.

It is always a good ploy to follow the ‘hot’ stables when they are on a roll and I for one will be rolling with the Dais stable when they take on Rocky!

**For the BLACKBOOK followers of the site we have one in today.

Newcastle Race 5 no 2 LITTLE VICKI is around $21, but she won 2nd up as a blackbooker at the same price last prep. She is an e/w chance.
