Race 1:

Looks GALTERO’s race again here, he has been unbelievable winning four straight from 1200m to 2000m. Can’t remember too many in recent history doing something like that up here. He can lead and dictate again here. Has improved every run and no reason to think he doesn’t just beat them again.

MY GUILLIANO was given no hope last start, he can improve. ESTIKRAAJ was very good last start and GLENDARA may be suited out in trip.

*Fav looks the winner.

On Top: 8-GALTERO $2.30

Others for trifecta’s: 6-4-5

Race 2:

Again a short priced fav and she does look the winner. I had been talking FEMME FIREBALL up for 18 months and still filthy I wasn’t on fresh. She is a stakes class mare who will get back to last again which is not ideal but a repeat of last start would be winning again. HINGUS ROSE looks the only danger as she might take up the lead and Lacy could slow them down and make it a 600m sprint home.

*Think she wins but probably not jumping into odds on quote.

On Top: 4-FEMME FIREBALL $1.90

Hardest To Beat: 1-HINGUS ROSE $4.80

Race 3:

Very hard to line these up.

Really liked the trial of ICELANDER through the week. In the Waller camp and improved sharply from first trial to second. The issue is the gate and where he lands in running but feel he is above avg.

Best of those raced should be MAGIC BEANS who lengthened well but knocked up last 50m last start, may have been condition or may not have been genuine but winkers go on and gets a good gate.

*Not overly keen.

On Top: 4-ICELANDER $3.40

Hardest To Beat: 9-MAGIC BEANS $8

Race 4:

PASS- We haven’t seen so many of these trial and no jump outs footage, as usual QLD leading the way there as well!!! Great way to boost turnover, have no footage.

Race 5:

Looks the best of the day does MYMMING and bad luck in running might be the only danger. She has improved out of site this prep and it looks as though this trip is what she might be looking for now. Love the fact Browne rides from the good gate, he can nurse her for as long as possible and she should sprint quicker than them with even luck.

SO YOU WISH, SHE’S RELIABLE and LAST LIGHT might be the best of the rest.

*Pretty keen here at anything over $2.50

On Top:  9-MYMMING $2.60

Race 6:

Not a race I really want to get involved in. Barriers win races over these sprint trips at Doomben, HI I’M BACK and RINGO’S A ROCKSTAR are the two who get the good runs in transit. Was a touch avg fresh HI IM BACK but has a better 2nd up record and should run well. RINGO’s connections finally worked out he is a horse that needs a hot tempo over short trips and he gets that here. Orman just needs to land midfield and get fresh air on straightening.

AMANAAT is clearly the best horse, not much speed drawn under him so if he is able to cross he should be the winner.

*Might just play a three horse quinella.

On Top:  3-RINGO’S A ROCKSTAR $15  ++  4-HI I’M BACK $19

On the have to beat: 1-AMANAAT $2.60

Race 7:

I was all over CHAMPAGNE DAISY every career run and she was disappointing most times and then come out and won like Phar Lap at the SC. On that win she can lead and again be hard to catch.

LIGHT UP THE ROOM comes through a much better race and was dominant. Does jump 3kg but looks to have a big future.

OUR ECHO can run well but worried about the gate with him. PLUMARO is always going to be competitive in these.

*Probably won’t bet here myself.

Race 8:

What do we do with DREAM MASTER, he has pig rooted twice in his 14 start career and last time he looked the best of the day (until the gates opened) I for one am not a big enough thrill seeker to back up on him but admit he will drive to the lead here and can run a race if he does everything right.

AHWAHNEECHEE has gone from strength to strength but probably easier grade than this. Deserves a crack at Saturday grade and draws gate 1 for Lloyd to be able to box seat or even lead if possible. Improving type who runs well here.

You know what you are going to get with MISHANI ELECTRA, she will sit first 4 and always gives a kick. She should be able to camp behind the leaders and like the fact they have taken the 2kg claim for Murphy, that might be the difference the last 25m.

*Small E/W MISHANI ELECTRA for me.

Race 9:

Big fan of TRISTAN DE ANGEL and he did get the cash for us at a good price in Highway Everest day. Gate 2 is an issue here as he is likely to be in the back half of the field. There is good speed however and Byrne should be able to find a decent spot, if they string out this horse just needs a good steer to be right in the finsh, he has upside while the rest of these are well exposed.

EL CAMPEADOR has bumped into Zafonic Dancer and Prioritise etc recently, this is easier and another who just needs to avoid traffic.

*Open race but happy to back the 13.

On Top: 13-TRISTAN DE ANGEL $4.80

Race 10:

Capacity field and a very hard way to finish. In saying that though I am keen to back FREDDIE FOX TROT, he has won 6 of 9 and has come back as good as ever this prep winning his first two and then dropping back to 1050m which didn’t suit but savaged the line late and out to 1350m is perfect. From a good gate he gets the gun run behind the leaders, he can steal a break on the corner and win again.
