Most punters like to get an early heads up on some best bet’s as there are often nice prices to be found when markets first open. As usual I was on RadioTab with Steve Hewlett today and gave him my three best for the weekend.

Brisbane Race 4 no. 6 THE RINGMASTER
*No doubt he is the best horse engaged.
*Was good 1st up, and ran well behind Adebisi 2nd up last time.
*Had form around Excellantes, The Barracks and Epic last prep which is more than good enough to win this race.
Brisbane Race 6 no. 3 SKATING ON ICE
*Quality mare in a race that dropped away a bit after nominations.
*Blinkers 1st time and I expect her to be in the leading few.
*Colless knows her back to front and always seems to find the run of the race for her.
*Her class can help her bring up a hat trick.
Ascot Race 8 no. 7 MORNING MIST
*Won 3 from 4 at the track.
*Gets a good spot from gate 7 for premier jockey Pike.
*By Anabaa so the 1600m looks as though it would suit and with the lightweight can run over the top of them.
***I was going to make CARRY ME BLUEY a best bet also but thought he would go up odds on, so I haven’t put him in, but worth thought for allup punters. Also talked to Steve about MASCHINO in Perth who we mentioned in “The Wrap Up” last Sunday. He is backing up this week and well worth watching.
