Racing at the GCTC and Doomben over the next few days. At this stage we have dry tracks which is the key to both tracks. When they are dry they both race extremely well and maps are the key.
GOLD COAST MEETING: Fence should be fine and they should race ‘normally’ this week instead of jocks steering to middle of track.
DOOMBEN: A few I liked will get back and that’s not a good punting play around Doomben, for that reason I’m not that keen this week.

Gold Coast Race 9 No.2- AMERICANA MAGIC e/w $17/$4.60 (should have landed in money, not sure why he speared 6-7 off the fence instead of staying on winners back?)
Just looks to box seat, will hit the front and the two favs will need clear air to run him down. Should give a good sight.
Gold Coast Race 10 No.12- RED STINA $4
Would love it to be a mile but everything else sets up to give her every possible chance here.

BRISBANE looks hard and confidence is low. Likely to regret mentioning all these at odds but I was happy to have little speck bets on them myself.
Doomben Race 1 No.6-DASH FOR DREAMS ew $14/$3.70
Liked the trials, nice action and can run better than odds suggest. Obviously many questions with all the first starters.
Doomben Race 5 No.2- BROCSON (place $5)
No luck in open grade last time. I’d rather 2200m+ but Stewart on from a good gate helps.
Doomben Race 7 No.1- I AM VINNIE e/w $7.50/$2.50
At EF he’d be a ripping bet. Needs a good Fradd steer and can’t land last in this. The concern is being too far back or Fradd falling asleep.
Doomben Race 9 No.9- BOLD ARIAL (1×2) $12/$3.70
Most of the leaders have a 1200m query. Has a touch of quality but joins new stable so there are some queries, just feel at the price I’m happy to have a gamble.
