The Edmonds camp based out of the Gold Coast have produced a handful of nice winners over the last month or so including Spot On Target, Bid Spotter, Signpost and of course War Ends who won last Saturday.
As a punter you like to follow stables once they strike form so I have caught up with Toby Edmonds to find out how a few are going.
War Ends has seemingly turned the corner since he entered the camp and the stable were very happy with his win on the weekend. “ He has taken a couple of runs to come to hand, he got to his right journey the other day. He actually had a really tough run and fought on which was a really solid effort. 12 months ago he would have probably said bugger this I’m not having a go, but he had a real dig Saturday. He will go around again in a fortnight and we will take things from there.” Edmonds said.
Signpost was a 4.5L winner at the Sunshine coast last start and should step out this weekend. “He took a bit to get right but I think he is pretty right now. He is in a no metro win race Monday so we will see how he goes.”
The horse that promised so much for the stable was Emvoss but on paper his last prep and this do look disappointing. He was good 1st up in Sydney but more was expected last start. He again had genuine excuses on that occasion when the riderless horse hampered him most of the trip and Toby said the horse is flying at home and that is all he can go off.
Like I said, these stables are worth following when they get up and going so leave their horses out at your own peril. For more on team Edmonds you can check out their website:
