Some of what I felt were the best trials from the set at Eagle Farm Tuesday.
GUNTANTES- Was beaten by CHAPTER AND VERSE but really liked the way he worked into this after the corner. Keen to see where he is placed.
FIRSTHAND- hard to improve them when you get them off the Hawkes team. Doesn’t need to improve, looks very well placed up here and this trial was good, savaged the line late.
BETTER GET READY- Just a great cruising speed, they were all chasing yet never threatened. Looks a ready made 2yr old.
MAGIC FOX- Best horse in the trial so you’d expect him to run well. Got back and showed the nice turn of foot we all know he has. Fair to say he has been a frustration so fare, this might be his prep.
BOOMNOVA- Went toe to toe with BOOM SPENDER, it’s a handy type and felt this filly may have just been a little better. Not sure where they go for the debut run.
