Darryl Hansen has a nice little team building up again and I thought there would be no better time to catch up and get a quick rundown of some of the stable stars.
I really like a youngster by the name of VO HEART who is in again this week so I started by asking his thoughts on the 2 year old. “Nice horse who was doing some things wrong but is starting to put it all together. I probably put him in the 1350m a bit quick and he may have needed the 1200m again. He raced great and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I think he will run a good race.”
ESSINGTON is back with Hansen and it will be great to see if he can get that horse flying again. “He’s getting close. He hasn’t raced to his ability since he’s been gone, hopefully I can get him back to racing that way. The horse is in great order, he looks enormous.”
DENWOOD is having a freshen up after a good campaign. He will be back in this week and will be set for the Rockhampton Cup.
LOUPETS is having a break in the paddock after a career best prep.
There are just a couple midweek Hansen has racing. TOUCH A STAR has frustrated Hansen as he feels he should have won a race or two by now and I believe he has added blinkers for this run. REQUIREMENT is another Darryl feels can run well with a bit of weight relief through Cassandra Schmidt.
Although it is not the biggest team at the moment he is performing very well with 22 of his last 50 landing in the money.
