VALUE PERSONIFIED!

Yet another stellar few days of results for the stallions standing at Glenlogan Park has once again highlighted the incredible value they offer to the local, interstate and overseas breeding industries. With their 2014 service fees having now been set, it is doubtful there would be any farm in Australia who would be consistently performing better on a pound-for-pound basis.

A Stakes winner in Brisbane, Group performers in Sydney at the Championships, 2YO and 3YO victors, a double at Eagle Farm Saturday, a treble at the Gold Coast Monday and the versatility to produce winners from 900m to 2200m were all on display over the Easter long weekend for the team of sires at Queensland’s leading farm.

Amongst a host of noteworthy performances during the last 3 days, Red Element joined both Denman and All American at equal 3rd (with 4 winners each) on the Leading First Season Sires table by winners when his very impressive debutant Power De Ted overcame plenty of obstacles in running to clearly prove too classy for his opposition at the big Gold Coast meeting on Monday.

Falvelon also reminded everyone that he is still unquestionably one of the best-value proven sires in the land by not only producing the winner of $80,000 Listed Hinkler Handicap at Eagle Farm in the form of Excellantes, but also by providing the highly promising 2YO Shinji, who took his unbeaten record to 3 starts for 3 wins, on the same program.

Down south at Randwick on Day 2 of The Championships, and Bradbury’s Luck’s very progressive 3YO In Cahoots followed up his fast finishing victory in the $250,000 Listed Gosford Guineas a few weeks ago with a really strong display to claim 3rd in the $560,000 G2 Royal Sovereign Stakes. A few races later and it was Qld’s reigning Champion Sire, Show A Heart, adding further merit to the day for the Glenlogan Park stallions when his very classy daughter Belle De Coeur indicated she has a wonderful future by grabbing 3rd in the $300,000 G2 Sapphires Stakes at just her 6th race start.

However, these type of results have now become commonplace for a farm that has truly proven to be one of the great breeding grounds in the land over the last decade.

At a time when breeders turn their focus to evaluating service fees relative to performance, it is quite staggering to review the big race results achieved from the current Glenlogan Park sire roster when their service fees are taken into consideration.

A quick snapshot of just some of the races won by progeny of the Glenlogan stallion team in recent years include:

G1 Oakleigh Plate

G1 Golden Rose

G1 Kingston Town Classic

G1 Singapore Kranji Mile (Sgp-1)

So, whether it is winners week-in week-out claiming the big QTIS events in Qld, or whether it is leaving horses who have the class and depth to compete against the very best in Australia, the Glenlogan Park stallion roster has a record that very others can compete with.
