RACE 3:

I know she has mixed her form horribly over time but CASH SPINNER has been going really well this time in and her last two have been good enough to go close here. This time last year she was 4th in a South Grafton cup, a lot of these mares wouldn’t get warm in that race. Main formline is SORNJA who I don’t rate and SNAPCHAT GIRL who has been good but beaten by SORNJA last start and is a query on wet tracks. CASH SPINNER has settled back her last two and rattled off the quickest L400m of the race in both of them. Stower just needs to land in front of 3-4 here and not lose sight of the bunny. $26 opening price looked wrong to me and feel she should be single figures in this.

On Top: 1-CASH SPINNER $26 e/w

RACE 4:

Really good speed engaged and this really looks to set up for EIGER and KARAJA. EIGER should be able to find the box seat with UNDERWOOD and CENTREFIRE pushing forward and holding a few other out. He was very good on debut where he eased off the speed, peeled to the outside and ran the 2nd best L200m of the meeting at Dubbo. Collett is a good booking and feel he is probably the bet in the race at $6 ew, hard to see him missing a place, just needs to handle the ground. Obviously KARAJA the hardest to beat if she runs. CENTREFIRE probably the best of the on speed horses and was well backed when markets opened.

On Top: 4-EIGER $6 e/w

RACE 6:

All depends on what the track is by this stage, the drier the better for DREAM MASTER. I’d probably need it to be a soft 6 at the very worst to back DREAM MASTER but he is the leader and has turned into a handy horse. RAFHA’S CHOICE can land in the first 4-5 and should get a good run. He was good winning a BM70 two back at Canterbury, sat on speed and won well before being horrible last start. Has trialled since and he handles a soft track. Slight lean to him here with conditions to suit.

TAWFIQ BOY really well placed and a win would not surprise, personally I just had a gutful of him when racing in Brisbane. This is easier than what he was racing in up north.

On Top: 6-RAFHA’S CHOICE $5

RACE 8: THE GRAFTON CUP

May not even bet here but here’s the preview.

Happy to think the QLD winter form is the the best form here and the recent sunny coast cup was run on heavy ground so a decent reference. IGRAINE was a dominant winner on that occasion. Fradd sat in front of midfield and timed his run beautifully to pick up SOPRESSA late, she’d had it good in front and gave a very good kick. Both SOPRESSA and EXOTERIC meet the winner a couple of kg’s better off at the weights and I don’t expect there to be much between them again.

SOPRESSA will lead, IGRAINE should find her back and EXOTERIC may even try to hold the back of her. That should be the running line you want to be in as i’m assuming MISSY MUSKETEER is likely to sit outside leader and she will be falling back on horses when she gets a stitch.

Hard to try and split them but feel SOPRESSA will give you a great sight, she can try to steal a break on the corner and will look the winner at the 100m. EXOTERIC will appreciate a better surface than the heavy track last start, still has to carry the big weight but like the way he’s going. IGRAINE gets every chance and it’s just the big jump in weight that concerns me.

*To be honest I’m not that keen on the cup and have changed the on top selection three times!

On Top: 2-EXOTERIC ew

Hardest To Beat: 1-IGRAINE, 3-SOPRESSA, 7-NO MONEY NO HONEY
