Grafton Wednesday

A really good Friday and Saturday with 7/9 best bets winning and THE PROPHET got both his selections home so is on a 4/4 run over the last two weeks also!

*We have a decent record down at Grafton but I wasn’t going to do any preview at all this year as I don’t have much time. Just thought I’d mention a couple here at double figure odds that I had little speck bets on.

**I rarely tip horses that could win or run last, these two mentioned below can mix their form so not much would surprise. Also not the trainer/jock combo’s i’d target usually but it’s a different carnival this year. They just seem to find suitable races. (Also added one hard in the market)

Race 2 #8 SCILAGO $15/$4.20

Two runs and a trial mean he should strip fitter for this. Drops a few kg on the last run and gets out to 1600m on a track he’s run well at before, both positives. Should also get a good run in transit. The little queries are he’s only won twice and does he just need this to top him off? Runs better than the $15 quote.

Race 3 #6 KIJITO $11/$3.40

He’s no star and doesn’t win out of turn but he does save his best for this track. He run well over the carnival last year (2nd to Phobetor in a bm66). Has been racing well recently, won a bm66 here three runs back so back to bm58 suits. Also just got to a hopeless spot last start but ran best L600m of the day. Can get back but want to see him land in front of 3-4 here to give himself a chance, that pattern is the issue.

Race 8 #5 CALIFORNIA LONGBOW $3.90

Just a case of the best trainers in Australia placing one to perfection. He is no star but this looks a pretty ordinary event and if he brings his best form he should be winning a race like this. Around that $4 mark looks tempting enough for a little wager.

*I’m hoping to have time to look at the Ramorine and a race or two more and I will add them if I do. We will just wait and see.

Thanks again for checking in.
