Not that keen to be honest but it’s a better card than recent weeks. I was keen on SPARKLING FACET and SEE THE MASTER but both have opened $1.80 so I won’t be backing either. Some of the prices have been ridiculous lately, they are unders now and might even half that if the recent trend continues. Crazy!
Race 2 No.5-WINTER PASSAGE $3.50
She has been in good form and comes out of good races. She has bumped into a couple of our better male 3yr olds (Macewen and Magic Fox) and run well. Takes on the older mares but gets a claim, races on speed and hard to beat.

Race 4 No.5-IL RICCIO $7.50
Didn’t think I’d be tipping this horse this prep but he is really well placed and if he doesn’t win here I don’t know what they’ll do. Most of these are jumping in grade while he raced better horses and was ok last prep even though his form looks mixed. Looks a bit of value at that price. Just a very small bet.

Race 7 No.2-ELIXIR $3.50
Stable have been going horribly but a few over the last 10 days have started going through the line again which makes me think this bloke may improve also. He has been solid enough recently and the two horses that beat him last time have won again since. Back to 3yr old grade and own him home track could work wonders.

Race 8 No.7-ON THE SPOT $10
Really even race to finish the day but if i’m in front this bloke might be worth a small play. Was pretty consistent last prep and wasn’t far off Capital Connection one run, he’d be a clear fav in this. He also won a CL5 over this track/trip last prep. Liked the recent trial.
