Some racing snippets for those a little time poor:

*The PATINACK reduction sale has started at the Gold Coast and some really nice fillies and mares went for a stack of money yesterday!

NECHITA– $1.55 million

LONGPORT– $ 800,000  (Dan Bougoure will train in QLD)

SOOKIE– $700,000

PEAR TART– $675,000

PANE IN THE GLASS– $500,000

*Those worried Tommy Berry may be staying in Hong Kong for a while don’t have to worry as he has stated that when his time is up he is keen to come back and win the major Australian races.

*Steve Hewlett talked to Paul Messara this morning on the ‘raceday’ program and Paul was very upbeat about the chances of MAHISARA in the last event – the QTC cup this Saturday. He had to work hard and sat 3 wide on pace last start when a terrific 2nd to Belltone. He gets a good gate this weekend and will be a tough nut to crack.

*He also had a chat with John Meagher. I caught up with the stable through the week too so you can back track and find that article on the front page.

*Here is the OAKS field for 2013. There has been showers about which may be a slight concern..
