Track – DOOMBEN

Rail =    +4.5m

Surface-

—— Worth noting that I am keen on a few if the track is Good, or dead at worst but any worse than that it could be a good day to go easy—

BLACKBOOK RUNNERS: (Important comments today)

SATURDAY,   1 FEBRUARY 2014
Sarisara – Doomben R1   No.2 (1110m): Probably bets horse, nice race and weight the issue.
Bribie – Doomben R5   No.5 (1200m): If track is GOOD he can win, dead at worst.
Trakstar – Doomben R6   No.7 (1630m): Gee this has to be his chance, must stand up.
Buakaw – Doomben R8   No.13 (1350m):  Ready to win again   except for the gate??
All Taken – Doomben R8   No.15 (1350m): Can’t believe another bad gate! Fair longshot chance

Race 1:

As stated   in the Blackbookers, I do like SARISARA. The big weight has to be some   question and these are always tricky with first starters etc.

*Like the fav and I have warmed to her.. Going to break the usual habit and have a bet on these 2 yr old races

On   Top:  2- SARISARA

Race 2:

AGITATE is   a very nice horse who could be in for a very good prep. Has trialled well and   I know the trial king Chris Nelson from QLD Trial Review is keen on his chances. Takes on the older   horses but is up to them.

TERMS OF   TRADE thrashed them at first run up here and Kelso seemed chuffed with him.   Gets in well after the claim and is the main danger to the fav.

*No value   in the race for me but expect the two mentioned to run very well.

On   Top:   4- AGITATE

Hardest To   Beat:  6 – TERMS OF TRADE

Race 3:

Pass… No thanks… no way.. uh ah..

Race 4:

If the track is GOOD I am still happy to be on THE WHITE HOPE. This is far easier than his last assignment. He goes forward and Colless gets a chance to unleash on the Doomben corner again.

If the track is wet I don’t want to be betting.

On Top:  6- THE WHITE HORSE

 Matt Dunn Racing

Race 5:   (Start of a $100K Jackpot Quaddie pool)

This looks a bit of a tricky event.

Again on a GOOD track I am keen on BRIBIE. The run 1st up was great, has good 2nd up form and is a track/trip specialist (12 starts for 4 wins, 4 placings). Doesn’t go well on the wet though.

EXCELLANTES is going better than it looks on paper but has a big weight and wide gate?

SNITSKY was ordinary first up but more than up to these when on song. Check betting moves. DE DOZENS STARS going as good as ever.

I reckon the smoky for trifecta’s is KEEP IT MOIST. Really liked the fresh run, drops 3kg and has a decent 2nd up record.

*BRIBIE if dry.

On Top:  5- BRIBIE  (dry)

Race 6:

Very confident Munce on CARMORA and El-Issa on BUSH AVIATOR (now scratched) put early pressure on and get across easy enough. They should get easy enough leads to be competitive but that quick first split from this starting point should allow TRAKSTAR to sit 4th-5th and get a lovely run.

Well Wiggins gets his chance to get a nice sit on TRAKSTAR and get every chance to break through. Has promised a lot this prep but hasn’t got the job done.

CARMORA could be the one with more rain about. Handles the going, will push forward which may be the place to be today and run last week was very good after being trapped wide.

Thought HARADA BAY is right in this, just a touch concerned how much start he spots them from the gate? Respect.

VIKING HEART and BUSH AVIATOR probably best of the rest.

On Top:  7 – TRAKSTAR  (Dead/Good)

(slow/heavy)- 6-CARMORA

 MaluaRacing...

Race 7:

This is very hard to line up.

ROJO GRANDE looks to get in well after a city win last time out and only carries 0.5kg more here. Again rolls forward and runs well.

The horse I think has a heap of upside is ANYMORE. Has made real progression in 3 stars and last start looked very good running time. I thought 1400m- EF would be perfect next run…. Strikes Doomben 1200m?? Will give a great sight and I am willing to have a small bet. Thought it may be more value than $6 though..

CHOOSE A SAGA brings in the best form off a narrow 2nd to Queen Of The Lochs last Sunday and this is the easiest race he has struck in a longtime!! He only has to handle the back-up and could blow them away.

Race has a lot of other chances but they are my top few.

On Top:  5 – ANYMORE     +   2- CHOOSE A SAGA

Race 8 :

Hardest race of the day! If you are betting I’d be looking for value.

I may go into this race with more depth closer to the race, but with a gun to my head and having to have a bet I would having small on ALL TAKEN at the $26.. Simply because I feel it is going good with no luck and those odds appeal.

**WIDE in quaddie for most people I would say**

Value : 15- ALL TAKEN  $26
