WILLOWBEND’S QTIS DOMINANCE
Willowbend Sire, Nothing to Lose, dominated the QTIS 3yo Handicap 1200m on the Sunshine Coast last week, with two of the three placegetters.
Venutre On winning with Epic Terra just missing second to Danish Whiskey in a photo.
Venture On started from barrier fifteen in a sixteen horse race and settled towards the back of field for most of the journey. On the turn he made a move to the outside and showed blistering speed to mow down the leaders, one of those being Epic Terra.
Venture On has now had 6 starts for 3 wins and 1 third while Epic Terra has had 6 starts for 2 wins, 2 seconds and 1 third.
QLD’S INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS
Queensland breeding’s strong influence on overseas racing continued over the weekend when Glenlogan Park’s ultra-consistent sire Bradbury’s Luck came within a whisker of claiming a Singaporean Group One victory.

The Michael Freedman trained 3YO gelding Cash Luck (pictured) draped himself in glory despite just failing to pick up the boom horse Super Easy in the $500,000 G1 Singapore Guineas.
Being asked to resume over the 1600m after returning from a trip to Dubai, Cash Luck tailed the field as they approached the turn but unwound a terrific finishing burst to finish a rapidly closing runner-up.
Upon dismounting, jockey Stephen Baster declared the effort to be “outstanding” and said that a future Group success was certainly on the cards for the promising Bradbury’s Luck youngster.
Cash Luck is now rated one of the most promising horses in Singapore.
