Just wanted to touch on the QLD BEST TIPSTER Comp and give Brad Davidson a wrap. The competition has now gone for 21 weeks so we are still a long way from the end, but far enough into it to get a guide.

Brad is more than twice the profit of any other bloke in the comp at this stage and no matter what happens that’s a great effort getting close to half way through. Another great day for him yesterday with STRATURBO, OUR IVANHOWE and COUNTERATTACK all getting the cash.
He is one of the youngest blokes (if not the youngest) in the QLD BEST TIPSTER and I heard a few rumblings by people that some of the younger guys weren’t much chop when this all started so hopefully Brad starts to get the recognition he deserves as he is not only a good journalist but a great form man also.
*We haven’t given up on catching him don’t worry about that! A few guys had good days and will try and build on that in the coming weeks to try and cut the gap to Brad (we may need a lasso he’s that far in front).
It’s all a bit of fun in the end and it’s a bit of a shame it hasn’t really got the promotion we wanted as yet to get out in the public and possibly get people talking about QLD racing. It promised to at the start but it hasn’t grown too much on social media and not many people have really helped to push it which is a bit of a shame really. A few individuals have done a great job running the comp and UBET have got behind it but that’s about it. Hopefully that may change, but if it’s not getting a run over our carnival I’m not sure when it will?
NSW had a similar thing recently over the Championships where RACING NSW was sending out press releases each week with updates etc but as yet I’m not too sure if Racing QLD have really taken it on and pushed the concept? It’s almost at the too late stage anyway now.
Anyway, we are chasing the young gun and let’s hope a bit of luck can swing our way over the carnival!
