A few news stories getting around today.

For those who missed the Raceday show on RadioTab with Steve Hewlett he caught up with a few important guests.

*Darren Weir said that Wealth Princess had come through her win very well, but will most likely go to the Dane Ripper next start and hopefully on to the Stradbroke all being well. So word of warning if you were looking at taking early odds in the 10,000, it looks as though she’s not running.

*Brett Partelle is happy with Torio’s Quest after a good run at Scone with 59kg and all is on target for the Stradbroke. The horse is likely to run the week before and back-up into the straddy. It looks as though Glen Boss may well be the rider at 53kg.

*Rob Heathcote feels Buffering is back on track, but realises it is a tougher task after the horse missed a few pieces of work. The horse is working well know and will line up Saturday with Bowman aboard.

*There is rain predicted for Friday, and a fair bit is meant to fall. There is also a cool change expected and a top temp of 20 degrees Saturday, so not great drying weather!

*Peter Mertens and Nash Rawiller are appealing their suspensions from last week, but dates have not been set for the appeals yet.

*Tiger Tees has been re-handicapped 0.5kg taking his weight for the Stradbroke to 53.5kg.

*Peter Snowden is happy with Mental and will go to the Guineas at Eagle Farm the week before the Stradbroke. He was not re-handicapped for his win last weekend.
