I thought I’d take the opportunity to fill punters in on some of the news over the past couple of days in case you have missed it.
**I had a chat with Matt Dunn regarding Qfighter- the very impressive grey horse by Jet Spur out of the great race mare Suzy Grey. The youngster was super blowing away the field on debut at the Gold Coast and is headed for better things. He is one of those horses who looks a bit ‘green’ and it all may happen a bit too soon for him, but on the same account nothing would surprise on the way he won first-up. Matt is looking at racing him in the Listed Dalrello stakes on the 11th.
**Woorim and Smokin’ Joey won’t run in the Stradbroke.
**Sea Siren has been penalised 1.5kg for winning the 10,000. That takes her weight to 54kg, but if Black Piranha does not run the weights will rise another 1kg and she would have to carry 55kg.
**Foxwedge has been retired to stud and will not be heading to the UK.
**So You Think blew away an avg field by 6 lengths first up and Coolmore are considering lining up against Frankel over the Royal Ascot carnival. (Bring it on I rekon!)
