Showers around the south east through the week but we are fast working out this track is going to be a GOOD 3 nearly everytime we race here. Just seems you can’t get enough water on it and I reckon we might start seeing the same horses winning here often.
RACE 1:
NIEDORP is the best horse in the race but the wide gate is enough to stop me betting. Happy to watch on as there are 4-5 who will go on and win their fair share of races.

INVINCIBLE GANGSTA and WHYPEEO ran the quinella a couple of weeks ago and no reason they won’t again but I will not be playing here.

RACE 3: * * *
What do we make of the Waller runners? MAKDANIFE went like a busted when fav last start, the stablemate JAKE’S HILL was backed, I have no idea why? But it improved sharply. I have no idea what to make of them.
OCEAN ADDICT is just a good mare who can keep going through the grades. Bumped into a couple in good form her last two but have liked the efforts and just needs a good ride from the gate to be right in this again.
KELLSTORM? Winning chance but very hard to be too keen on a horse like him.

Next Best: KELLSTORM and then make what you will of the Waller pair, maybe watch the market raceday.

RACE 4: * * *
MAGNUFIGHTER clearly the next best. Comes off a last start win in a decent race (open handicap) and 1800m is also the right trip for him. Does jump 3.5kg into this though.
CORMAC might just need this to top him off but 1800m on the big track is starting to get closer to what he’s after.
This has just been the ideal prep for LOOKS LIKE ELVIS. The calendar of races has allowed hi to be placed perfectly and all pans out well again. Gets the good gate, drops in weight and out to this trip is perfect.

Hardest To Beat: 5-MAGNUFIGHTER, 7-CORMAC

RACE 5: * *
Have put SO SPIRITED on top. Had no luck two back at $21 and still a bit sick on it. Proved he was going well with a dominant win at the midweeks where he sat back on a below avg tempo and circled them with ease.
SOVEREIGN NATION should have won last start and this isn’t much harder. Can run well again.
No idea what to make of the Waller pair. FORTENSKY is one of the great non winners so simply not for me. In saying that he is probably going better this prep than his last couple. THE AVENGER was very good two back and then plain last time. Watch money trail with them both.

RACE 6: * *
Best race of the day!
CONTEMPTUOUS (SCR) has huge wraps around the place. JAGGED EDGE is already a Listed winner and a few others have a few excited as well.
JAGGED EDGE was huge in his first prep, won a listed race as I said but only beaten 2L in Group 2 company. Good gate and extremely hard to beat after beating Alligator Blood in a recent trial.
CONTEMPTUOUS looks a very handy one in the making and plenty of people around the place want to tell you he’s a very good one. The win and trial have been excellent.
RUUCA wasn’t that impressive in his win as the other two but his recent trial was very good and he’s just got a beautiful action, simply like what I see in him and he’s in the right yard!
*Really nothing between the main three here. This will be a great form race.

RACE 7: *
Can make a case for half the field here.
Always liked FRANCISCA, even if she can be a frustration. Likely to spot them a start but gets the claim and the big track suits.
RABBIT HUNTER is another suited by this track, didn’t have a lot go right last prep but ran well in some decent races. Got checked at a vital stage in in easier race fresh but can improve sharply in this.
VERANES might have just needed the first two runs and on the back up Fradd should be able to get a smother to giver her the last shot at them.
DREAMTIMER very consistent, good gate and has to be a winning chance.
*Plenty of other chances but that’s who I’m working around.

WAY TOO MANY CHANCES and hard to be confident. If around $15 is bet I could entertain a very small play AEECEE TONG DEE but not getting carried away, there’s a chance she simply isn’t a winner. (Well she’s not) But Desleigh does get the best out of them, her first run for the stable she was very good late, next start Byrne gave her a sore back. Wide the entire and went early….. Anyway she can improve sharply but far from knocking people over to get a bet on.

Full field to finish! Good luck.
This is a decent step in grade for RED CHASE but the last start over this track/trip was simply dominant. Ran similar time to the open handicap that day and much faster than the CL3. He’s a handy one.
Feel THY KINGDOM COME (SCR) is unders as the early fav but still a winning hope.
Forgiving RECKLESS CHOICE the fresh run. It was too short and run very slow, impossible for him to win. He will be much better placed here but might improve with the run.
