Some form races to follow

Print Friendly

It was simply a super days racing Australia wide!! Sydney didn’t disappoint with Nechita stamping herself as one of the most exciting youngsters around.

Brisbane threw up some of the roughest results we have seen in a long time and the quadrella was write-off unfortunately. For those who follow ‘The Punt’ and backed one of our best bets in Our Hussey, you can thank the ride of Tim Bell. It was right out of the text book and a patient ride was needed. The only good thing about the blowouts mean we may get a jackpot quaddie over the next few weeks sometime.

**Of course our BLACKBOOKERS will be up through the week, but I thought I would go over a few races that I think will turn out to be very good form races and there should be winners coming from everywhere out of them.

THE McKENZIE stakes 1200m Moonee Valley

RUSAMBO again come from the back of the field and rounded them up for a strong win. AWESOME BRO didn’t look comfortable on the tight track and is worth forgiving. DOMINANT has a massive future and will improve as he gets over more ground. I suggest you stick with him for his whole prep.

UP & COMING STAKES 1300m Warwick Farm

There have been a heap of talk about ALBRECHT and boy did he deliver. SUMERAND, TOYDINI and TATRA are all others who will enjoy getting over a bit more ground. They may not be the top of the tree but there will be plenty of winners out of this race if placed right.

WARWICK STAKES 1400m

Some question this race but I think it was chock full of great runs! PINWHEEL was rock hard fit and deserved the win, but LAMASERY, SECRET ADMIRER, DANLEIGH, ROCK’N’POP and especially POLISH KNIGHT were great runs to kick their preps off. All those mentioned want 1600m+ and you can follow a few from this with confidence.

SILVER SHADOW 1200m

This is simple- NECHITA iss exceptional and look one right out of the box. MEIDUNG looks to have come back good, and DEAR DEMI will come into her own when she gets to a mile and further.

OTHER THINGS AROUND THE TRAPS:

VIPERA GOLD- the nice QLD mare has bled for the 2nd time and is now banned from racing.

OUR MISS JONES- was excellent in winning over 1200m and looked to have a massive prep ahead but Williams had to dismount pass the post and the horse looked very lame. I’m sure there will be more reports come out from Melbourne soon, but it didn’t look good after the race. Hopefully it is only minor.

SOUTHERN SPEED made a mess of them in Adelaide and all is on song for another tilt at the Caulfield Cup!

Plenty more coming up on brissyraces this week so be sure to check in for the latest news, interviews and previews.
