These are just horses I’ve had something on. Not exactly brimming with confidence, just thought I’d share.

(Friday) Sunshine Coast Race 4 No.3-BUFFY $3

Anything with a three in front of the price seems fair. Been in really good form even though he’s been up for a while.

(Friday) Sunshine Coast Race 5 No.9-OOZES CLASS $3.50

Important to see how tracks playing. If they are swooping that might take some concern off the bad gate. Looks a horse who will improve sharply off the debut run and experience at the track.

Sydney Race 4 No.1-BOTTEGA $2.40

Always a little query backing them this short on the wet track, just feel he has a nice future. He can still roll in a little but he’s a big raw bugger with a very good turn of foot that will win a lot of races. If he handles the ground he’s clearly the one to beat.

Sydney Race 6 No.2-NETTOYER $4.60

Felt she was a good chance in the G1 last week and she ran exceptionally well. She has won on the quick backup and only has to run up to her last couple to be right in this.

Caulfield Race 3 No.8- DON’TTELLTHEBOSS $10 ew

Has started 100/1 at last two starts but the efforts have been excellent. Two back at Listed level went back closer to the inside down the straight at Listed level and ran best 400-200m split of the race. Last start was held up for a stride on the corner behind Loving Gaby and that was costly. Ran the best L200m there also. Just looks an e/w bet at $10.

Caulfield Race 6 No.3- FLIT $2.30

Just looks better than them. With even luck should could gap them. Hughie found backs last time, can’t happen again, surely?

***********************************************************************

Caulfield Race 9- 12-FIERCE IMPACT $11 ++ 19-CHIEF IRONSIDE $18

Small plays the two of them. Surprised that FIERCE IMPACT is double figures after Kolding franked the form by winning the Epsom last week. That was the first time he had blinkers and they worked! Just wish the edge was out of the track. Smaller bet on CHIEF IRONSIDE, has the speed to hold a decent spot and although you’d think he’d improve off this it’s by no means a great G1.

Will try to get some WARWICK selections up here after prices come out if possible. Might be hard with bookies putting up country and provincial QLD last in Australia and we have the Calcutta tomorrow night. For what it’s worth here is my preview of the WARWICK CUP that’s gone in their racebook:

RACE 7: THE WARWICK CUP:

Unfortunately a couple of key scratching’s. Four main hopes in my eyes. It should just be an average tempo and might be a case of best ride wins the race. Tony and Maddy Sears have trained 8 winners from last 16 starters, they are flying and their horse GIVUS A CUDDLE gets the favours on speed, can hold the fence or let one cross. I think it’s a better horse leading and only query is the 1500m 2nd up. I’ve put the grey mare ROSIE POSIE on top for the Kropp stable. She always runs well and is a genuine Saturday grade horse. She handles all conditions and although she hasn’t won past 1400m she’s run ok at a mile so 1500m at Warwick is no concern. Needs a good ride as there is a chance she could be three pairs back the fence. ENDLESS DAYS is more a stayer that has been kept fresh by the astute Hulbert stable. Wet is no concern and he just needs to be within striking distance. REALING comes off a midweek win and has run well in town on multiple occasions. SELECTIONS 5-6-2-4
