MORE QTIS CASH UP FOR GRABS
QTIS $ GO WANTING
Owners of QTIS two and three year olds will be rubbing their hands together, as they get an extra shot at grabbing the bonus prizemoney.
It’s all thanks to a week of relatively light QTIS winners, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars being returned to the kitty for future QTIS races.
MORE WINS TO QUEENSLAND
The Queensland-bred gallopers have once again led the way at Eagle Farm, taking out half the program on Saturday.
Sequalo’s promising 2yo, Missy Longstocking (pictured courtesy Dan Costello Racing)kept her winning streak in tact – three from three and was the first winner for the maroons. She dominated Race 3 the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes over 1000m, collecting $64,000 for connections in the process.

4yo Ferocity gelding, Keep it Moist took out the next event, the Canadian Club Hcp over 1400m before Bradbury’s Luck 5yo mare Fire Up Fifi took out the Quality Listed Gold Edition Plate (1200m).
Like so many of her sire’s progeny, Fire Up Fifi is building up a very impressive race record – having now won or placed in 15 of her 22 career starts.
Eliza Park sire, Monashee Mountain rounded out the winners for Queensland when Dream’n’Ignite won the last, The Coke Zero Handicap (1200m).
FIRST WINNER FOR TRISTAD RULER
Tristad Ruler sired his first winner at Ipswich on Friday courtesy Bahram Stud’s homebred filly A Tad Apart (pictured courtesy Dan Costello Racing).
A Tad Apart (3f Tristad Ruler – Depart by Dehere) came from midfield to claim the Frys Spares Maiden (1350m) by more than two lengths. The Greg Milne trained filly started a $2.70 favourite after a close-up fifth behind Flying Lamborgini (Bernardini) at Doomben earlier this month.
Tristad Ruler (Kingston Rule) sired just 8 foals in two seasons for Bahram Stud owner Greg Wagner at his Westbrook property in 2008 and 2009.
The Ipswich result follows the recent victory of Bahram’s homebred filly Charming Ally at Stanthorpe. She opened the winning account of Wagner’s former Umatilla sire Prospectors Charm.
Wagner raced G1 Epsom Handicap winner Captain Sonador and stands him in association with Raheen Stud. The Shamardal stallion is currently standing his second season at the Warwick based nursery.
Captain Sonador’s first crop on the ground includes a half-sister to A Tad Apart.
MM Classic Order of Entry
Missy Longstocking, Regimental Pride and Sir Luminar were the big movers in the latest order of entry for next month’s $2 million Jeep Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m).
I’m Too Sexy (pictured), winner of the inaugural Ballarat Clockwise Classic, still leads the way with earnings of $122,000 (less bonuses).
The order of entry will be subject of more moves over the coming days with juvenile races throughout the country including Thursday’s Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic.
