Here is some of the latest news from our mates at Topline, including a  quick clip of one of their yearlings.

Off The Rails – Right on track

Off The Rails the colt named after the Sky Racing show that will race him in partnership with Topline Thoroughbreds and owners has been very impressive in his early work in at Randwick over the past couple of weeks.

The flashy son of Snitzel has been given an early education of what life in a racing stable is all about and he has taken the bit in his teeth and relished the opportunity, impressing both his trainer and track work rider in the process.

“It is very early in the piece and he is still only a yearling but he has done everything we have asked of him so far without hesitation and with a touch of professionalism. He is a very nice horse and a real doer.” Was the comment received from trainer Grahame Begg when asked about Off The Rails’ progress this week.

By one of the most prolific sires of 2yo’s in Snitzel, Off The Rails has all the trademarks of an early type running horse and all going well he will be on track for a shot at the early 2yo races later in the year with the main target the $2million BMW Magic Millions 2yo Classic in January 2013.

Zinedine – ready to trial

Topline Thoroughbreds precocious two year old filly Zinedine is set to trial next Tuesday 12th June at Randwick over 740m. This will be Zinedine’s first official run for Topline’s trainer Grahame Begg after the filly was transferred to Grahame’s stable earlier this year.

Grahame’s comment at track work this morning regarding Zinedine’s up-coming trial “I am very pleased with how she has come to hand this time in and her work so far has been exemplary. I am looking forward to seeing what she can do for us next week.”

Zinedine has already been to the races on one occasion for her previous trainer back in November of last year where she ran a very credible 4th to the very talented Gai Waterhouse trained No Looking Back. Since then Zinedine has been given plenty of time to mature and strengthen and she has no doubt returned to work an improved horse.

We look forward to Zinedine’s trial next week and wish all of the owners the best of luck with her as she heads to the races this preparation.
