**Bit of a change in ‘THE PUNT’ section this week. I’m not one overly keen on change but with small fields in Brisbane and great racing around Australia I felt it would be best to put up 5-6 horses I think we can follow with some confidence. We will kick off with Blackbookers and then get to the best bets:blackbook

BLACKBOOK: Don’t think its our strongest blackbook day but hopefully a few there.

**Let’s try this week’s format. Prices are www.tatts.com prices at time of typing.

BEST BETS:

*

Melbourne Race 6 No.1 – SEA MOON

*World class stayer who had a legitimate excuse first up and was ok late next run.

*Screaming out for the 2500m and if he can’t win this then it’s safe to put a line through him for the cups!

-

-

Melbourne Race 7 No.6 – POLITENESS  $2.75

*Really nice improving filly. 1600m on the big track from a good gate makes her the one to beat.

*Will probably be a ground swell for Wordplay (who is also very good) so $3+ is a possibility.

-

-

Sydney Race 8 No.13- ARINOSA

*Top shelf mare returning.

*Big winner first-up last time and more than happy to think she measure up here in what just looks an ok G2.

*Close to $5 and that’s worth a gamble for me.

-

-

BEST EACH-WAY:Matt Dunn Racing

 -

-

-

Melbourne Race 8 No.7 – PUISSANCE DE LUNE   $4.20MaluaRacing...

*Rock hard fit now and gets a gate to put himself into the race.

*Getting close to the $5 mark which seems great value.

*This is the race where I believe he stands up and cements himself as a genuine Cox plate and Melbourne Cup fav.

-

-

Melbourne Race 9 No.1 – SPIRIT OF BOOM   $8.50

*Really well placed here and drawn out down the straight will suit this bloke perfectly.

*Talked to Tony Gollan today and he agrees this is Spirit’s time to shine.

*He can settle within a few lengths here and run them down late.

-

-

 pineapple

BEST ‘ROUGHIES’:

-

-

Sydney Race 7 No.11 – RIVA DE LAGO   $15

*Was originally on Lidari who is scratched.

*This bloke will need luck from gate but his last win was exceptional and has to be worth thought for exotics.

*He will be coming with the big guns late and well worth thought for exotics.

-

-

Melbourne Race 2 No.8 – PINSTRIPE LANE    $21

*One for our mates at Malua who we interviewed through the week http://www.brissyraces.com.au/malua-warming-up-to-the-spring/

*May want further than this but well on the way up and $21 + $6 looks big enough odds to have something small on or to throw in trifecta’s.

-

-

**Be sure to check in around 8:30am Saturday for final selections and Quaddies**

 -

-

MELBOURNE QUADRELLA:

4,6 —– 4,5,6,7,16 —– 1,5,7,9,13 —– 1,3,6,8,9

-

-

SYDNEY  Quadrella: (Many may go shorter last leg, but happy to go this way)

1,4,5 —- 3,4,6,7,10, —- 2,3,10,13,14 —- 2,4,6,7,11

-

-

THE PROPHETS’ BEST BETS:

*SYDNEY Race 8 N0.8 – TIGER TEES

-

*SYDNEY Race 9 No.3 – SEVILLE
