We head over to Eagle Farm with the rail in the TRUE position.
We have found our fair share of winner but it’s no surprise we have been racing at Doomben on dry tracks where i much prefer to punt. Eagle Farm is a great new track but I’m always just a bit wary of unleashing there. It does look a good card of racing so hope we can continue a decent run heading over the road.

RACE 1: * *
DAWSON DELIGHT won on debut to land some good bets and although it was up north I liked the way she went through the line. She’s also a half to the very good mare Dawson Diva. RED BLOOM is in a good stable and ran well behind a couple of handy ones in town last start.
STAR OF MICHELIN is the one to beat but a month between runs to 1600m here? Looks well suited if fitness is up to it. The market might tell a story on raceday.

RACE 2:
You have to say ILWENDO is clearly the one to beat but I’m assuming goes up crazy odds and If that’s the case I will just stay out of the race. Recent form has been excellent for a race like this.
Genuine hopes to MISS SHANTI who has bounced back to somewhere near her best and OCEAN ADDICT is nearing a win. She will be better for the 2200m run last start where she ran the best L400 and 2nd best L200m of the race.

RACE 3: * * * *
Gollan gave MACEWEN a great prep last time in and has got him back at the perfect time of year! He’s a horse I’ve always liked and he’s been very good to those who follow the site. Very little between he and YEAHNAH last start, MACEWEN does meet him 1kg better off at the weights but more importantly has that run under his belt and gets back to EF which is very suitable. It might take him most of the straight but expecting him to get them down late. Made him my best but Opened $3.60, now the $2.80 is more than short enough.
Like that form so YEAHNAH is the obvious danger. Can find the box seat, kick for home and be the one to run down here. At $6 I might even have a very small saving bet.

RACE 4: * *
Got the money with EPIC GIRL last week but this is harder and happy to take her on this week up in grade. Might be off the mark but she looks under the odds at $4 to me.
Nothing would surprise in this race, some very good horses resuming, they may want 1400-1600m but class means they can sprint well fresh. RECKLESS CHOICE, CADOGAN and GET STUCK IN the ones I am talking about.
RECKLESS CHOICE has improved every prep and his trial leading into this was excellent! Looks to have come back better again. Boris Thorton really suited this horse but Steph Thorton rides here.
CADOGAN was poor last prep but recent trial looked like he might be back on track, just have to take him on trust.
GET STUCK IN was plain in a trial but EF suits and not selling him short.

RACE 5: * *
Can’t knock the win of SIX SIGMA last start, (hopefully a few followed the prophet in) and he again gets a nice run up on speed and can be hard to beat. You will get a good guide on the formline after Macewen and Yeahnah run earlier on the card.
Haven’t exactly been a fan of SAY I CEE YOU but have really liked the last couple of runs and can run well again here. Won a CL4 last start, drops to a CL3 but does jump sharply in weight. Has the get back pattern but from gate 5 Byrne should look to land in front of 4-5 in the running and gets a soft run in transit.
RED CHASE has improved under the care of Forster but feel they pulled the wrong rein going to the 1800m last start. Bit of a freshen and back to this trip suits. Hope they let him find his feet and give him last crack. The issue is from the gate he might nearly get too far back.

Hardest To Beat: 12-RED CHASE, 4-SIX SIGMA

RACE 6: * *
Tricky from this starting point. CAPITAL CONNECTION would be the one from a gate but I have a big query on him getting caught wide from gate 8 if there are no scratchings underneath. Very good horse who comes off a good trial and just needs some luck.
LIFESAVER should be able to land in the first few pairs and be one off the fence getting a good run. When he gets conditions to suit as he does here he always runs well. He has only missed the money twice from ten runs on good ground and won or placed in 3 of 5 over this trip. $11 was bet but can have a small bet e/w at $8.50
WHYPEEO is the best horse but he hasn’t won in a long time and nearly sick of making excuses. Opened $10, looks overs.

Hardest To Beat: 1-WHYPEEO, 5-CAPITAL CONNECTION

RACE 7: * * *
Good race with a stack of chances!
Have landed on LOOKS LIKE ELVIS $5, he’s just a very consistent type who is now rock hard fit from recent racing. Winner here two back before running well in the Coffs Cup. Gets in really well after the clever 3kg claim and from gate 1 gets a lovely run in transit.
SEE THE MASTER was good fresh making late ground. Can sit closer from the good gate and should just fall out and find the back of LLE to get a free tow into the race. Feel he might just need this run to be at his top but they did scratch at the midweeks to run here.
KINGS FULL and SAVWELL both land in the first 4-5 and advantaged in this slow run race. KINGS FULL looks to have needed the recent racing even though he won last start. Expecting him to run his best race since coming to qld. SAVWELL is a few weeks between runs and back in trip is ideal.

Hardest To beat: 8-SEE THE MASTER, 4-SAVWELL $13, 5-KINGS FULL

RACE 8: * *
AUERBACH in very good form and even from the wide gate should be able to land in the first 3-4 settling and get the right run. Up in grade but did beat The Avenger last start and that horse has gone on and won in Syd last week. Right in this again.
SO SPIRITED (SCRATCHED) ridden a bit too positive last start, can find the back of the fav and should be able to get a tow into this. With the light weight he gets his chance to run over them late.
SOVEREIGN NATION and MANAYA the next best. MANAYA a good winner last start but I feel we have seen her best. She can still win without surprising.

Hardest To Beat: 3-MANAYA

RACE 9: * *
Nearly impossible to split SIENNA ROSE, SEENTOOMANY, OUR GIRL SILKE and BUBBLE BALL.
BUBBLES BALL sits closer than main rival, can box seat, shoots for home and looks winner at the 100m.
SEENTOOMANY has been getting a long way out of her ground but continues to make good ground without winning. She can sit closer, maybe midfield from the gate.
Nothing went right for OUR GIRL SILKE at her first start in qld, got shuffled back to last but reeled off the 2nd best L200m of the meeting on that occasion. She gets a better run here, they can nurse for a while and let her have last shot. Respecting at 2nd run for this stable.
SIENNA ROSE ran at the same meeting as OGS and was the one horse who ran a quicker L200m. Hers was the fastest of the day and each run has been great this time in work. She is suited at EF and can win.
*Hard to split. Looking for a bit of value so gone for OUR GIRL SILKE but the $16 opening price went quickly.
