Rail   +1.5m

Surface– (I have done preview on Dead/Slow) any worse and I would save my cash!blackbook

Game Of   Fame –   Doomben R1 No.4 (1350m): Does look very well placed.
The   Storeman –   Doomben R3 No.2 (1010m): On pace and hard to beat.
Casarati – Doomben R4   No.8 (2100m): Wet track?
Final   Crescendo –   Doomben R8 No.6 (1200m): Great race but want dead or better?
Dazzle   Us –   Warwick Farm R1 No.1 (2400m):

Race 1:

I think GAME OF FAME is a promising horse and she put the writing on the wall last start with a strong finish over the 1300m behind Aimee. She can step up here and the price may be the only concern as some punters get over excited with these two year olds and they start unders.

On Top:   4- GAME OF FAME

Race 2:

We were very keen on SPARKLING SOUND when she saluted last start and she is again the horse to beat here, however I am not as bullish. She goes up in weight and got all the favours last time. She will again roll forward and be the horse to run down. Under $3 in early markets does not excite me so I will just watch the market.

The main danger could well be the interstate visitor PLEASURENA with Colless up for Denham. The last run look just ok on paper but the horse didn’t have a lot of luck and with just 54kg and gate 1 it needs to be respected.

A few other chances like GREY COUNTESS but one at odds could be HARBOR SPRINGS down the bottom that has been going well and has a bit of upside. $13 looks value and may be worth a sneaky ticket.

Next Best:  9- PLEASURENA,

Race 3:

Bit of a premiership battle race with Gollan (2) leading chances and Dunn with one. Gollan saddles up PURE PURRFECTION and THE STOREMAN who ran against each each other and both went well a fortnight ago. Not as much pace here and just leaning to THE STOREMAN out of his two- He is unbeaten 2nd up (3 from 3) and more importantly he can sit on pace and this does not look a ‘speed on speed’ race.

Dunn has TICKET TO DREAM and my opinion is the sting out suits her to perfection. The problem may be spotting the others a start but do not sell her short.

TERMS OF TRADE and STAR SAMMY have legitimate chances and are consistent types.

On Top:   2 – THE STOREMAN

Race 4:

Not a race I want to get sucked into. Questions about some on a wet track, some at the trip, just looks a trap.

SOLO SAGA would be a bet I would consider but I would be wanting $12+ and only for a small interest.

Race 5:

How would you be bumping into some of the 3yr old fields of late and then miss this race?? This looks a lot weaker than last week’s 1200m race.

Being a weak affair and potentially a wet track this race has me bluffed, I am not confident and one quaddie may have ‘field’ on it! Tricky race from this starting point for a couple in the market.

MISHANI GLADIATOR has been going well without luck (drawn gate 14,15 last two runs) and is on top for me. Will enjoy the pace on but there are some questions. Goes up 2.5kg for running 7th last start and so far has not shown much on wet track although he is by Dubawi out of a Commands mare so he should swim!

Too many others to go over but THIS IS WAR for Ben Currie had his form franked when Miss Stash who he beat last start was heavily backed to win a midweek race. HEZA BOBBY DAZZLER has always promised a lot, he can deliver here but the gate is some concern…

*Can make a case for nearly every runner*

Race 6:Matt Dunn Racing

The place to be at Doomben on a damp track is usually near the seed and there are plenty who want to camp in the first 4 here. Gates will be important as a few will have tricky runs in transit.

ESCOFFIER and CRACCO get nice runs near the speed from good gates. CRACCO has had 5 starts this track/trip and hasn’t finished worse than runner-up, while ESCOFFIER has been trained to sprint this time in and is going as well as ever, a wet track would probably help.

Two that will sit off the early speed about midfield are PITT STREET and BUAKAW. After the claim PITT STREET must be given serious thought. He takes a few runs to hit his straps but ready to produce his best 4th run back, the only query is the ordinary wet track form (slow/heavy although it was earlier in career). Probably more forgiving of BUAKAW’s wet track stats as Dunn has worked him out now keeping him at 1350m and letting him find his feet. Colless will keep him close enough to strike on this track without riding him out of his comfort zone.

Can make a case for other but CUM DIVIDEND and PURE WHISPER possibly best of the rest.

*Thinking early value may be around BUAKAW at the $7-8 mark.

Value:  7 – BUAKAW

Race 7:

Big STEEL ZIP fan and it’s unfair to say he has forgotten how to win, but gee the tally of outs is growing….. A chance here.

A few down in the weights interest me. LADY ECHELON for Nat McCall is a classy ‘blacktype’ mare with a great record (10 starts- 5 wins and a placing). She gets the blinkers on here and fresh record is outstanding.

BYMONASHEE gets s nice trail here, 54kg and probably looking for the 1350m now. Wet track is of no concern.

Very little wet form for DOCTOR DAVID if it comes to that but dead/slow he must be given serious thought on two extremely good wins. Drops 1.5kg into this grade will again be near the pace and give a great sight.

Outside of them POST RESTANTE could be some value in trifecta’s etc.

NOTE: Now it is dry LISTEN SON must be respected..

On Top:  8- BYMONASHEE    +   7 – LADY ECHELON

Others:  11- DOCTOR DAVID,  3- STEEL ZIP

Race 8:

NOTE- Weather by far the biggest factor here, my top three all want good/dead track to show their best.

Plenty of speed in this race and plenty out who will really want to cross and lead! Sets up beautifully for something just off the speed. If the track is dry FINAL CRESENDO could well be that horse. He is going really well and I am sure from gate 4 they could ride him 4th-5th with cover and run over them, hopefully they don’t get into a speed battle. (wet would be a slight concern)

JUST A PEARLA is well up to this and has only finished outside the 1st or 2nd on one occasion out of last 9 runs. Will burn early here though and last 50m is the question. ADORABUBBLE up to this but have no idea of tactics from out wide?

Gollan has FAITH’N’COURAGE ticking over (seems like every week) but she is just getting better. Smart claim here to bring her into it and goes in my quad. Stable mate BY CHOICE has looked plain but Blinkers go back on and the form with them on was very good, do not underestimate.

MORE THAN MONEY with the claim and pace on will rocket late and may be the one undersold a bit here. Can unleash late and should get pace on.

On Top:  6 – FINAL CRESCENDO  (good/dead track)

Next Best:  14- MORE THAN MONEY,  11- BY CHOICE
