‘The Wrap Up’ + Goldmarket day.

We seen some great racing over the weekend, and I thought we would just go over the main features as the form will hold up over the next couple of weeks.

The Vo Rogue was won by Punch On who has come back a treat this prep. Rocket To Glory and Easy Running took up the lead not long after the start. It looked as though they may fight it out after the well backed Biggles got way out of his ground and was giving away a big start to the other fancies. However this race turned out to be a blowout! Punch On was wide during the run, and his win was outstanding. Noisy Ocean has a massive form reversal to finish 2nd. While Lucky Morna was nearly unbelievable coming from last to finish 3rd. Playtime was the other great run and was in the blanket finish.  The horse worth giving another chance to is Divine City after it again had no luck getting a run the whole straight.

Earlier in the day Fillydelphia was back in action and looked to have the Berborough (1615m) in her keeping, but the Sydney visitor Kontiki Park nailed her right on the line. It was a huge win after travelling three wide the entire trip. Not long before the race New Day Rising won in Sydney, so it looked as though the Villiers form may stack up, and it did. Emvoss is a horse on the rise for Toby Edmonds and will be very hard to beat in the Magic Millions stayers race. Another horse that will contest that race and be peaking on the day will be Femina Fashion, I liked her run on Saturday with an eye to that race.

As far as the Magic Millions goes for two year olds, it looks as though the picture is much clear now. A lot of contenders bubbles burst when they got a hiding from Driefontein and Sizzling. Driefontain jumped to the lead and looked the winner from a long way out. She looks a ready-made millions horse and will start one of the major fancies. Sizzling’s run was simply outstanding and he will most likely start favourite in the big race. Amorino stepped out in Sydney for Gerald Ryan and stamped himself as another contender. As always the case with 2 year olds though, the trainers must do their best to keep them up for the race in two weeks’ time. That’s a long time in racing.

**Atomic Force has won the Group 1 Railway stakes in NZ taking his prizemoney to $850,000.

*Some good racing at the Gold Coast today. Here are a couple I’m interested in.

Race 6 no. 2 BEGGIN.

And in the feature there are two I will probably back at big odds on TattsBet.

Race 7 no’s. 10- SPRIT OF BOOM $13 + no. 14 STEEL ZIP at $12.

Both have great gates and seem over the odds to me.

My quadrella numbers are: (gone wide today as the coast track can play tricky. Many punters may want to shorten it up)

1,2,3,5,6 — 2,4,9 — 1,2,6,10,14 – 1,2,3,8,13
