The Wrap Up

Lets start by thanking those who wrote or contacted me saying we helped find a winner. Thankyou.

I guess it was just one of those days where everything fell into place. Thumbs up

Five Blackbook runners with four saluting at decent prices, and both best bets winning, $5.50 and $4.40 available for them on Friday. That is as much trumpet blowing as goes on with Brissyraces, we just move on as last week was ordinary and that is the punting game. Hopefully some cashed in and got some back.

Race 1:

RED BOWERS simply didn’t turn up. As usual the race experience was key and as pointed out AIMEE our Blackbook runner was always going to fly late. Can’t believe the $6.70, that’s ridiculous.

Race 2:

Stayers race and the fresh stayer HI SON got in well with the weights and as mentioned in the preview he simply sprints better than them at this stage. DAZZLE US was very good but there was probably not enough tempo for him to win, he can win one of these very soon.

Race 3:

For those who get on each week you would know I have tipped this SPARKLING SOUND a few times and she has stood up all but last time on the wet track but that was more than forgivable. She looked a good thing and Munce made a moral of her with a cheap lead. Felt like taking the balaclava off after the $5.50 was thrown up, she was never in danger. Take a bow C.Munce!

Race 4:

LITTLE BIT DITSY had her usual ‘flat spot’ but was good enough to pick up after getting every chance from another good ride. SHAZZA’S BUBBLES was outstanding late and watch where it pops up. Couple of other good runs but first two home were the story.

Race 5:

People who follow Brissyraces regularly will realise I am not a ‘bagger’ of jockeys, sometimes they simply get it wrong as it is a bloody tough job! Matheson did a job on Chris Munce through the week but on this occasion Colless got one over Matheson. The pace was a joke so Colless slipped around them 3 wide, found the front and won on STAR SAMMY. Had Matheson kicked up, gone with Colless and held the fence I am sure he wins, however we will never know. The best ride won the race. MISHANI PERSAUDER needs 1400m at EF and can salute.

Race 6:

As mentioned MISHANI WARRIOR got to the wrong part of the track last time and you had to be forgiving. Less Ross had him on song today and with a patient ride from Stewart on this occasion he put them to bed very easily! I think he is the only horse I want to follow.

Race 7:

AGITATE and EXCEEDINGLY were well supported and only a nose separated them. EXCEEDINGLY got the bob in but both can win soon. Plenty of other good runs and there is never much between these 3yr olds. LONDAHERO looked to knock up late and CHOOSE A SAGA was just ordinary.

Race 8:

Haven’t seen sectionals etc but it just looked as though MISS IMAGICA and ALL TAKEN went to hard and set it up to be run over (which happened). This looked the most even affair of the day and as mentioned in the preview the top 6 were all legitimate chances. Not a surprise to see them fight it out but CRACCO finally broke through for another win ahead of STARGRILL BOY who is going really well and FRENCH LESSON who will win one of these shortly.

***With 4 of our 5 Blackbookers winning and a good recent record be sure to check in this week for the latest round to note down.***
