This weeks Blackbookers + Eliza Park Auction

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Here’s a few Blackbooker we can follow with some confidence in the coming weeks.

(For those who haven’t been punting long the Blackbook are simply horses I think can win in the coming weeks. Obviously there are things that can happen like the horses getting placed in the wrong races, but that is impossible to know when Blackbooking them. I simply have to go on where I think they will be placed)

BARBIE’S BOMBSHELL- No luck whatsoever. Rider sat up the last 150m and she had plenty to offer.

DOMINANT- He looks as though the further they go the better he’ll be. He may end up a Derby horse. I’d just stick with him all prep.

STRAWBERRY BOY- Another who is learning the caper and has a heap of upside. He can just keep winning!

DEAR DEMI- She might find it hard to beat Nechita next start but when she gets to 1600m+ she’ll take a stack of beating.

NECHITA- Superstar in the making. Anything over 1400m would always hold some questions, but over the sprint trip she looks nearly bombproof.

MOMENT OF CHANGE- Not convinced the sprint trips are his go but he’s still good enough to win. I think a race like the Epsom over 1600m would suit.

OUR HUSSEY- She did get all the favours and was perfectly ridden but she did win easy. She can win again soon.

TANAH LOT- Ran into bums the whole straight. Improved lengths on the weekend and can go really close next time out with more luck.

BALKUIN- Can go up a grade and win. He looks above average and is getting better all the time.

THAT’S KARMA- Stays in the book after making up a dozen lengths late. Just wants it a bit further now.

**Here is a little something from ELIZA PARK also…

Looking for a bargain and doing good at the same time?

Eliza Park is again staging its annual Online Auction to provide much needed funds for Living Legends, the International Home of Rest for Champion Horses.

The Online Auction has raised over $250,000 in the past three years and this spring the stallions on offer are perennial Champion Victorian Sire, BEL ESPRIT, STATUE OF LIBERTY (sire of brilliant sprinter Hay List), Champion Victorian First Season Sire, MAGNUS, SHINZIG (sire of boom 3YO, Psychic Mick), ASTRONOMER ROYAL and SHARKBITE – whose first crop yearlings averaged many times their respective service fees, stakes producer, GOD’S OWN and the Champion 2YO, BUSHRANGER, whose first foals sold through the roof in Europe earlier this year.

And, finally, a highly popular addition to the ranks in 2012 is Black Caviar’s full brother MOSHE who has aroused considerable interest since his retirement to stud earlier this year.

Tenders can be submitted by visiting but you’d better be quick … the Online Auction closes at 2pm this Friday (31 August) with the winners announced online at 3pm.

Those attending Eliza Park’s Open Day will be able to submit tenders in person.

C’mon … be a ‘legend’ and support a good cause!
