Toby’s Rocky team!

Here is the second part of the Rockhampton special.

Toby Edmonds is doing a great job with his team and also has the help of son Trent around the stables now which I’m guessing is a big bonus. When guys like Toby takes horses north you sit up and take notice, so here is what team Edmonds had to say about their respective runners:

WAR ENDS– “Bit of an enigma but trialled super last Thursday. He works super on the track and we are just trying to get him to perform on his ability. Which one turns up on the day is the problem.” ( I believe he may get blinkers + Tongue tie)

EMVOSS– “His run was great the other day at Doomben and he simply didn’t handle the track. I thought he was going to win but he just floated around on the heavy track. He has come on well and worked well on the course proper here this morning (yday) at Rockhampton. He’s cherry ripe.”

PURETTAN– “He ran at Grafton the other day, he got back on a hard fast track and ran on ok to only be beaten 3 lengths. He’s come on well and that has tuned him up well.”

ROOM EIGHT– “Goes ok, she’s a Hotel Grand filly who will go better when she matures a bit more.

RHINO– “Ran 2nd behind a pretty sharp horse at Grafton. This looks a race he could be very competitive in.”

SMART ‘N’STRONG– Ran well first-up and can improve with the blinkers on.”

As always Toby has found some nice races for his team and he looks to have a major hand in both the Newmarket and the Cup.
