Toplines latest

As people would know Topline Thoroughbreds are one of the great sponsors that help keep the site up and firing for all to enjoy. They are a good bunch of blokes who know their stuff and I thought it would be good to have a quick chat with Nick Melmeth to find out how some of the older Syndicated horses are going, and also get the latest on the horses with shares still available.

A couple of last year’s syndications are ticking over well and we can see them shortly. Ready To Fly is the full brother to Landing who took all before him last preparation. Ready To Fly is in his second racing prep and his last run was his best so far. The team feel he has plenty of ability and shows them plenty on the training track. Nick feels the penny may be about to drop and we will see the best out of him this season. He will step out at Goulburn Monday.

Sakhero is an interesting horse who we may spot in about two weeks’ time. He has also shown a bit and the team were very happy with a recent trial.

www.toplinethoroughbreds.com.au  have some remaining shares in four 2 year olds. (You can see them by clicking on the link at the bottom of the article or on the right hand side of the page). There is a Northern Meteor filly, a Fastnet Rock filly and of course the cracking Snitzel colt- Off The Rails that is raced in conjunction with the guys from the SKY TV racing show of the same name. There is also a nice looking Stratum filly that has just gone up for syndication and will be trained by Bjorn Baker.

For those who don’t know, Graham Begg is the trainer of all the Topline horses at present and from all reports he is happy with Off The Rails. Nick said that as long as the horse stands up to it he will probably trial around the 25th of September and will look at targeting the early 2 year old races if all goes to plan. (Video of him at the bottom)

The Fastnet Rock filly has finished pre-training and has just gone back into full work. She would be around 5-6 weeks off a trial. She has strengthened up nicely and they are very happy with her.

The Northern Meteor filly is a week or so away from coming back into the Begg stables.

The Topline site is easy to navigate around so jump on and have a look around. I’m sure the lads would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, so check it out!
