For the second time in as many weeks, punters are unanimous – Aloisia cannot be beaten in the Group 1 Kennedy Oaks at Flemington tomorrow.

According to racing and sports bookmaker UBET, much like Winx in the Cox Plate, the flying Aaron Purcell filly is being backed almost to exclusion, with an overwhelming 92% of money for her to win.

“She’s $1.70 for a very good reason,” said UBET spokesperson Nick Curry.

“All things being equal, she should just win.”

“She looks a level or two above them, but, as we know, there are no ‘sure things’ in this game and lots of long-shot winners have hit the line in big races lately.

“And who could forget Brenton Avdulla’s heroics when leading all the way on $138-pop Lasquetti Spirit in last year’s Oaks?”

Curry said one South Australian UBET punter was sitting particularly pretty ahead of the $1,000,000 feature.

“One of our customers cottoned-on to Aloisia’s potential long before anyone else,” he said.

“Five weeks ago, before she brained them in Thousand Guineas and then bolted in in the Vase, said punter plonked a cool $1,500 on her at $10 in our ‘all-in’ Oaks market.”

“Not to jinx them, but it could be the easiest $15,000 anyone makes all Spring.”

Last start winners Pinot and Luvaluva occupy the second and third lines of Oaks betting at $6.00 and $6.50 respectively.
