Hopefully the rain stays away from Eagle Farm for the midweek races because we are going around again on Friday!!
Here are a few that may not be ‘good things’ but worth thoughts. Never very keen on first starters and maiden races but just thought a couple may be competitive.
Race 1 No.6- KNIGHTWICK MANOR
*Not sure what Bryan Dais has done with her since the last start failure but a run similar to the debut effort would make her the horse to beat.
*Respect the Les Ross trained first starters but if I can get $4-5 about KNIGHTWICK MANOR I will have a little bet.
Race 2 No.10- RYAN”S ROGUE
*I don’t like backing first starters but this one is out of a winning family and I really liked the trial.
*There are a couple that have performed ok including STAR DROP who has finished close to a couple of very good ones, it should be very short! And DOOM CITY DRAGON that was well supported last time out.
*Always a query as a first starter but if double figure odds he can be thrown in trifecta’s.
Race 8 No.2- A FINE DROP OF RED
*Simply looks to have the best form lines and should get a nice run. The claim for Butler helps and should be very hard to beat. Back to 1200m suits and handles all conditions.
*Respecting SHAMTILLY LACE who won for Dunn 1st up and may well go on with it.
**Only BLACKBOOKER is RYAN”S ROGUE which comes out of the trials…
