Here is a look at the weekend’s racing. I will go through all the QLD metrop races and keep adding races as I get the chance through until it’s final at 9am Saturday.

EF Race 1:
No. PRESS START if i was pushed but don’t like these races with so many on debut.

EF Race 2:
Have landed on the Waller runner after the Lees runner was scratched. Not a great race, not a good race to be honest. Slight lean to LORD GODODDIN out of better races dropping in grade.
On Top: LORD GODODDIN $4

EF Race 3:
TACTEE and POLEMIC rise sharply in weight but drop significantly in grade. TATCEE on top with Fradd sticking while POLEMIC loses Bayliss for Thornton.
On Top: 2-TATCEE $2.10 too short in my opinion
Next Best: 1-POLEMIC.

EF Race 4:
Whenever KUBIS wins we all say “What a tough bugger, how’d he keep kicking?”. I just feel they have been riding KUBIS too soft, he’s been leading and had it easy but he’s better when he goes at an avg or just above tempo as he still kicks off it and seems to take the sprint out of them. Hasn’t had the same affect riding him slower.
ALWARD has beaten KUBIS home their last two clashes and if they ride them both the same ALWARD probably beats him home again. He’s in good form and it took Winning Ways to stop him last start.
*UPDATE. Thought we’d get a better price KUBIS, he’s $3.80 while ALWARD is $4.40, tempting to back the Waller horse at the prices.

EF Race 5:
CELLARMAID is simply not a Doomben horse and will improve out of sight to a trip on a big track, she is the blowout. ALIGNMENT beat an avg bunch on the northern rivers but has she will be winning more races.
BALLISTIC BOY has been flying and primed for his best run this prep after recent racing. Big track and this trip is perfect. Also nominated in the million dollar race in Syd and would be a smokey there.
MISS CAVALLO and COULDN’T REFUSE chances in a good race.
On Top: 1-BALLISTIC BOY $1.90 + 6-CELLARMAID $5.50

EF Race 6:
SOXAGON has a bit of upside and that’s what you are looking for in these CL3 races. He was good fresh behind a horse that was flying and then won with his head on his chest in a pretty ordinary race last time.
AEECEE TONG DEE just has to handle the back up to be right in the money. gets in great under the conditions and they shouldn’t have led last week.
On Top: 4-SAXAGON $3
Next Best: 6-AEECEE TONG DEE (watch any moves OBELOS)

The mares are backmarkers but feel OUR WINNIE can land in front of RED STINA. Not a lot between them, both sure to be strong late and best steer may win. Feel $6.50 is a good price OUR WINNIE.
