Weekend Wrap Up + horses to forgive

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A day later with our wrap up but let’s have a look at what unfolded.

Race 1:

Bit of speed on early and liked the run of CANNIZARO who was still there fighting late.

SOVEREIGN SON got the right run but had to be good enough to put them away and he was. Not the best two year old race we have seen by a long way.

The Wrap Up

Race 2:

This was a huge run BRAVE ALI. Outstanding running along in front and was simply to brave and too good! All had their chance to get past after he did all the work but he proved too strong.

SECRET GARDEN was solid as usual and POST RESTANTE run out of room late but you probably don’t have any money left waiting for her to win.

Race 3:

ELUSIVE STORM was 3 wide the entire and still run away from them late. This was an outstanding win and a pointer to say she can keep winning this preparation.

GALLINARI was ridden really well and held her form from her last win, nice and solid late again.

I reckon MATABRAHMA is going well and can pop up in an easier race soon.

Race 4:

I wasn’t smart enough to take our First 4 in order was anyone else? $220 a nice dividend too for such an obvious result.

FINAL CRESCENDO put the writing on the wall off a good trial and I was hoping to see the real horse turn up after just an ok effort last time in town. Got the favours from the good gate and when the run opened up it was all over.

As expected the 58kg just told late on a brave LE CAP and COVERT CHAMOUR hit the line hard again to say he can win soon.

Race 5:

Underrated rider Kirk Matheson found the front on SEEKING MORE and it was glasses down after that. Got it ok up front and packed too many punches to the line. EXCELLANTES looked to have his chance and ran well without looking like winning.

NET WORTH was very good and keep safe next time it is spotted.

Race 6:

The $51 pop CASINO BRIDE really turned this race on its head by going out like a cut cat. The leaders tired and there were a few get caught up late. Not sure what to make of the form to come out of this race but REVITALISE may well go on with it now. He always showed promise and this is about his right trip.

Haven’t given up on DYSFUNCTION just yet, after getting too far back last start she was on the back up and had a torrid run 3 wide the entire. She will find an easier race in a few weeks and be hard to beat.

Race 7:

RUDY proved that he is not just a wet tracker. He settled back and got trucking before the corner to go straight passed fav SHIRAZ ATTACK and run away from her.

The efforts of OLYMPIC ANTHEM and FRIENDLY DRAGON were both very good looking to the future.

SHIRAZ ATTACK is probably being trained to get over ground this time in so could pay to be forgiving, she wasn’t too bad.

Race 8:

Can’t get any more consistent than JUST A PERLA at present surely? He is airborne, find the front and win, they would be the simple instructions. Well-deserved again.

No doubt the unlucky runner was CUM DIVIDEND who would have won in another stride.

CARMORA was wide the entire and is a forgive run, while there was a sneaky little run out the back in ELMANTOSH, he may need one more run but don’t sell him short next time he steps out….

Horses to ‘forgive’:

CARMORA- Wide entire trip.

SHIRAZ ATTACK- Looking for further

DYSFUNCTION- wide entire trip
